Following up Found In Far Away Places is almost an impossible task so, I can’t really fault ABR for not giving me the constant chill ride with this one. Still better than 98% of the music out there, but they spoiled me with how perfect FIFAP is.
  • Awesome album

Awesome album from start to finish. Preordered on iTunes and had a message on Facebook from JB for the entire album, instrumental, and bonus track for free. That made me a life long fan.

I’ve always like August Burns Red. I hate those people who always say the earlier stuff is the best but I gotta admit, I’ve had trouble really enjoying any releases past Messengers. It was a borderline perfect record. Since then, ABR have experimented a lot, the songs have become longer, and at times they tend to all blend together. Phantom Anthem, however, is a great record. Each song has something about it that makes it stand out, kind of like Messengers. I feel like they could still trim some fat one some of these 5+ minute songs but it’s still really good. The musicianship is top notch as always, Jake’s vocals are still brutal, and it’s an all around fun record to listen to. Glad these guys finally got me back on the band wagon.

Amazing album from top to bottom! Each song has its own identity and theme while at the same time managing to blend together as one. They left nothing behind while making this and it paid off!
  • Wow amazing like always.
