Sorry not sorry. Third eye blind is one of those bands I'm not allowed to like with my j church jawbreaker small brown bike hot water music lifestyle but I don't care. They are good. Something about 'em. I like almost all of their songs and I no sorry to the hardcore post punk eclectic music of my time... I bet when Lance Hahn was alive he listened to some 3EB

Brilliance. Every single song on this album is fantastic in its own way. The first 6 tracks are the most radio friendly, but the last half of them album is where the band really shines. Songs like An Ode to Maybe, Camouflage, Darwin and Farther offer a tripped out sound that should be listened to with quality headphones to hear every nuance of the song. Darkness and Wounded are the two stand out tracks, Darkness offering brooding guitar and lyrics with the best outtro Cadogan has written. In wounded every member of the band completely shines. Kevin's guitar is spot on, almost singing the song by itself. Brad's drums are huge and concussive. Arion's bass flies around, bringing orderly chaos to the song. Jenkin's lyrics and vocals come together to complete the song as a complete masterpiece. Songs like NYLG, 10 days late and 1000 julys may be the catchiest, but don't hold a match to the rest of the album. Blue offers a massive, tripped out sound that should be appreciated by everyone.

Awesome!. I have had this album since august of 2000. My mother got it for me on the day I left for college and it has been with me ever since. Stangely enough, my father died three weeks into my first semester and much of this album seems to have been the running soundtrack to "me". Screw all of the preconcieved labels or attachments because of where they are from or who chooses to identify their "cultural" attachment to the band. Its excellent, through and through.

Wow.... This album, while not my favorite Third Eye Blind album, does contain my favorite 3EB song: "Never Let You Go." I know that may sound a little cliche, to have the most popular song on the album be my favorite, but...it really speaks to me. If the song is about what I think it is... having to let a girl go because she may be dragging you down or hindering you in any way--but you still love her, and will carry a piece of her with you always--then I can really connect to this song. Plus, I think the melody of Stephan's voice and the harmonies the guitars create, along with the soft, steady rhythm of the drumming, are just absolutely stunning together. The reason this song is the most popular on the album is because it's both catchy AND beautiful...two things that aren't usually together in most music nowadays. Not only that, it's also powerful-sounding without being too hard and soulful enough without being too soft. It's a perfect balance. I love it. It's probably my favorite song ever, and it has been for almost a year now, after I rediscovered it after years of not hearing it.

Great Album. this album was awesome i thought they would chenge from the first album like some artists do but they didn't and that's awesome

Ahhh the memories. Stagger Inn, Misawa Japan. This album and its videos in 2000. This pub in northern Japan only played this album for about 6 months from the time it came out. At that time I was a 22 year old 3rd Class Petty Officer living the dream. Very good memories.

Hands down 3EBs best. If I could rate it 6 stars, I would. Every aspect comes through with vigorous force; lyrics are insane, guitars, drum, and bass all follow suit. Jenkins is a musical genius and the other members are as well- this album is a must buy. The songs will really stick on you. I'm a junior in high school and find every single one applicable- this is too good to rate. Buy it. You will not regret it.

Not Bad. I absolutely love TEB, but every album has had to grow on me before I can really like it. This was no exception. The first TEB album was great both lyrically and musically. As for this album, it seems like TEB tried to make their music fit more into the pop mold rather than alternative (they've always been more about being unique than trying to fit the mold. They've had a very unique sound). Never Let You Go and An Ode to Maybe are the biggest pieces of evidence for this. The sound is just so different from their first album, though it's not bad at all. Blue really hits it lyrically with songs like Wounded, 10 Days Late, Deep Inside of You, and others. The album is definitely worth getting if you liked the first album and wouldn't mind it more poppy.

Awesomeness in CD form.. Blue is by far one of the best CDs in my rather large collection. A few years ago I would've told you this was their weakest album, however. How wrong I would have been. Every note played is sincere, every lyric sung is meaningful, and every track here knocks it out of the park. The best songs are An Ode To Maybe (their best song ever) and The Red Summer Sun, but I didn't get into those songs until after many listens. I advise newcomers to get Anything, Wounded, Never Let You Go, and Deep Inside Of You, which are more immediate. This song is about half-immediate, half-grower. And it is perfect; I wouldn't have it any other way. Every fan of music should give this CD a look.

best by far!!. Love this Album. it has more of their harder alternative stuff. best songs are "Never Let You Go", "Darwin", "An Ode To Maybe", "1000 Julys" and "10 Days Late" I recommend this album to anybody who is a 3EB fan, has just even heard of this band, or just plain old likes alternative music. The instrumental and the end of the album ends the album on a correct note. this is definite album to add to your collection! =]

One of the Best. The first time I bought songs off this album on iTunes, it only had 19 reviews. It's nice to see that more young people are relating to this type of music rather than the crap that's on the charts right now.

Dude, one of my few classics. Everyone has at least one album that means a lot to them-a body that means more than the lyrics and notes and radioplay. An album that has secrets hidden past the singles and maintains the ability to hit different spots under your skin. I am not everyone, but I am a fan of music and I can say without hesitation this album is one of my top 3. Hip hop, rock, whatever’s new these days, not much can hold a candle to the culmination of passion, foresight, and luck this album has. It’s ahead of its time deserves several full listen-throughs. Wounded gives me chills, Farther gives me a solid subway ride, and 1000 Julys is a tribute to good rock. If you want advice from a review, buy it.

Good but,. They took off slow motion and turned it into a instrumental, it’s a messed up song but that’s the point.

Depth. This album takes me back, and in a good, deep, reflective way. I love rediscovering this album. It's real stuff - it feels like nothing gets lost in the translation of these lyrics from the hearts of TEB to the listener.

Great song.. I listen to never let you go since i was 10 or 11 years old. I love it ever since than.

Enthralling. I listen to this on loop as I draw, I dig it all

Where is slow motion?. Why isn't slow motion showing on here? All it's showing is the instrumental version.

No Reviews?. This has been out for so long and no one has reviewed it except the main review? It's a great CD, no, not as overall good as the first CD as noted, but still worth buying - er, at least until you get halfway through it. Tracks 1-6 are listenable to over and over again, after that you don't really get another good song until track 12. Best songs of these are: 1. Wounded - emotive rock ballad, much like something dramatic Collective Soul or U2 would have put out 2. 1,000 Julys The hardest hitting song on the track. They don't hold back the guitars on this one. 3. Never Let You Go - The big pop/rock hit of 2000, if you were old enough to buy your own CDS at that time, you've heard it ;) 4. Deep Inside Of You - Very moving, lyrically probably the best song on the album. Slower ballad 5. 10 Days Late - Another very lyrically strong song that really tells a story. Not as hard as 1000 Julys but a rocker none the less. 5. Darwin - Fun mid tempo pop rock song. 6. Anything - a short guitar driven track. Honestly, I'd say get the album, since your'e pretty much buying $7 worth of music just by getting those songs right there. But if you're watching every purchase you might just want to get those individual tracks. It's not that the rest of the album is bad, it just falls into the background of these seven great songs.

Blue. I love all of Third Eye Blind's albums and this has to be my favorite.

Best Album from a highly underrated and underappreciated band. Wounded is simply one of the best pop songs ever written. Show some love.

Darker, moodier, and more experimental than their debut.. Right off the bat by looking at the album cover you get a feeling that the 2nd record from the underrated band 3eb is going to be darker and moodier than the first. As soon as you play "Anything" you can tell that the sound is slightly diffrent. All the instruments are diffrent sounding, so as to capture that moody feel. There's also a lot of "extra" touches used in this album. From string attachments to synths (or some type of electro noise) and even a lot more piano in some songs (e.g. Slow Motion, Darkness). All i want to say is that this album is incomplete due to Slow Motion not being on here with the lyrics. That's one of the best songs on Blue and sadly it seems a lot of critics didn't know about that and so disregarded the instrumental version as being "an odd thing to have amidst all the other songs" type of attitude. So if i were you, i'd look for one that HAS the full lyrics somewhere online or just buy every Blue song but the instrumental (this instrumental is diffrent and not as good as the OTHER, original instrumental) and the full version of it off of the 3eb collection cd. Then just put it at track 11 in either anyone of your playlists (online, ipod, etc..) or burned cd. Because your missing out! The lyrics are about how f*cked up the media is, so to speak, altough a lot more deeper than that.

This album is very odd. I have to say I want to like this album very much, but it's tough. The first 5 tracks are good, and have the makings for a great start to a great album, but after that things get weird. The next two tracks are very strange and I don't like them very much. It seems that they were making the songs difficult to listen to so that people would think they were branching out. However the songs have nothing that makes them different other then being totally awkward. After that we approach Red Summer Sun, what is wrong with this song?? I can't like in spite of the beautiful ending which is the redeeming quality of this track. Next we have camouflage, you can't understand the words and it's impossible for me to figure out why other than the fact that it's supposed to be camouflaged (ha ha ha). Farther is a great pop song that gets things back on track for us and Darkness and Darwin keep that great song writting momentum going, Slow Motion is great and I like how it brings back the ending of Red Summer Sun after the nice instrumental part. Over all I could say that this album is a good buy, but it really needs Darwin on the itunes version after you lose the four weirdo tracks. I give it a fair three stars

Where is slow motion???. Why is only the instrumental version here now, it also disappeared from my library????

underappreciated. Having outlasted the post-grunge wave, Third Eye Blind is still trying to claw their way up from the bottom of the alt. rock heap for some kind of much deserved acclaim. Critical favorites they're not, but regardless, they maintain a dedicated fan base and continue to blossom their great sound especially on "Blue." "Never Let You Go" and "Deep Inside of You" are more standard, radio-friendly fare with solid lyrics, but true standouts are "1000 Julys" and "Wounded." Few lyricists could tackle sexual abuse and sexual desire within a breath of one another but Stephen Jenkins is not just any lyricist. The other songs are more experimental, but are great for dedicated fans. For newcomers, start with their debut but definitely pick this one up for a darker slice of their chiming, hook-laden light rock.
