New and Classic at the same time.. I have been a fan of Bob Dylan for many years. I like Dylan's late albums and kind of accepted the fact that his voice is kind of blown out. He is a technically competent singer, but his vocal cords seem strained, NOT ON THIS ALBUM. He croons and his voice is as good as I have ever heard it. The song selection is a very slow jam and old old school, but the interpretation is new and classic at the same time. My favorite song over all so far is "Full Moon, Empty Arms." My favorite line presently comes from "Where Are You? "All life through Must I go on pretending? Where is that happy ending? Where are you?" Kind of makes me thing of God, Death and Love at the same time. Brilliant.

I Dig It. Tom Waits meets the aged Billie Holiday with some beautiful nod to the American Songbook. Doesn't make me want to go sky-diving but that's not the intent here. Layers of gold from the past served on a new plate. I dig it.

Sorry. Wanted so much to love this effort. Just left me so disappointed. I was surprised how bad it fell on my ears. Way too little, Way too Late. Dylan trashes the best of these songs.

At first sceptical but happy to be wrong!. Given Bob's raspy, tired voice I thought he had gone mad when this album was announced. How wrong... The arrangements are beautiful and Bob's singing is better than ever. Bob, as Jack Frost, has produced a stunning album. The recording has Bob's voice way out front and every word is beautifully articulated, along with the occasional elongated vowel. These old songs have been "uncovered" by a man who really knows music!

A beautiful album.. This is Dylan and his band at their best. The arrangements are gorgeous and the pedal steel really adds something special. If you have seen Dylan tour in the last ten years then you know how incredible his band is, and they are all featured on this album. And Bob’s voice! What can you say? It is truly beautiful and rich in years. Very few can compete with a voice so honest and raw. 5/5

BOD DYLAN... nicely done but why oh why are we all still getting the same old 40 odd mins on new discs lets ask why we are not getting 60 odd mins for our dollars…. we are not buying vinyl where thats all the artists can do…this is modern plastic and the cds can hold at least 60 mins… another 20 mins , please Bob

Some enchanted evening.. Worst recording ever. I think Rod Stewart was correct, Dylan just has the wrong kind of voice

Bob nails the classics. Bob Dylan has surprised everyone with these renditions of songs from the 1940’s and 1950’s, possibly the songs he sang in his high school band in Hibbing Minnesota. That Lucky Old Sun is my favourite - a lovely song well sung. Once again, Bob invites his fans along a road of musical discovery - thanks Mr Dylan for all the adventures.
