awesome. Lamb of God is like Death Metal vocals on top of Pantera with the intensity turned up two notches. Very nice. Maybe Wrath is a little too groovy, but it's nice to see them return to heavier roots. Must-buy for metal fans, whether you like thrash, death, or even metalcore, LOG has an appeal for us all.

Wow. This is one of their best along with sacrament, also worth buying the whole thing. Very creative.

Brutal. If Ashes of the Wake and Sacrament were the wild cats, cheetahs if you will, of LoG's catalog, sharp, cunning, merciless, and in many ways graceful, then this would be the rhinocerous- Huge, heavy, and aggressive as all hell... While "Wrath" is most decidedly a master of blunt-force trauma, and may not be as melodically inclined as its predecessors, its grooves are still cut deep and with the sort of devastating precision that makes every Lamb of God album a masterpiece, and this time, packed with more explosives than ever.

Lamb of God gets heavier, but not better. First off let me say this, if you're looking for your first lamb of god album to purchase, this is not the one you want. Sacrament is a masterpiece and you owe it to yourself to pick that up. This album is not LoG's best work, but it's definitely their heaviest. Blythe experiments with some new vocal techniques and most of the time it adds an extra layer of brutality to the already insane vocals that Lamb of God is famous for. For those concerned, there still is a lot of the classic Lamb of God vocal style in here, even though listening to the demo tracks may not indicate it. The instrumentals got an extra dose of steroids and the sound is a bit more full and heavy than previous albums. Also, Lamb of god has had very few proper guitar solos before this point. This album delivers some, and they're all very refined. Not astounding, but they sound good and they fit with the music well. However, I didn't feel like the composition was quite as good here as it was in some of their past albums. Maybe it's because I've only had the album for a day, but I don't think there was anything here that will stick in my head like a lot of their older stuff has, and though it sounds good, in a lot of the songs there's almost too much going on to get into them. If you're a fan of Lamb of God, you won't be disappointed, but you won't be blown away either.
