My Favorite Garfunkel Album. My favorite album from Art Garfunkel. The vocal harmony and the Jimmy Webb lyrics are clearly his best work. As for the original song that was replaced on the album with "(What A) Wonderfl World", you can hear that song on Garfunkel's Facebook page. If you're also lucky, you can find the original Album pressing on ebay (look in the Holland ebay pages as that was the country where it was initially released before it was pulled and released with the album changes made by Columbia Records).

Masterful Interpretation. Art Garfunkel has made a career of interpreting great songs by Paul Simon, Stephen Bishop and most notably, Jimmy Webb. Garfunkel's work on the set of songs shows his range and ability to take very personal songs such as Wooden Planes and Shine It on Me and make them his own. Speaking of the songs, there's not a weak one to be found here. Jimmy Webb's attention to lyric detail is evident throughout this stellar collection. Watermark is perhaps the high point of Garfunkel's solo career.

His best. The production is a little overwhelming, but this album is Garfunkel's best from start to finish. "Mr. Shuck n' Jive," "Paper Chase" and "Shine it On Me" are standouts. The guy has a voice like a choir.
