RIP Sandra Elizabeth McLeod. This album was my friends best album to liston to, she loved it so much! And because I loved her, I love this album too, nearly 50 years on. Rest in peace Sandy...

One of the greatest albums ever. A hidden gem of an album. The variety and depth of the songs is great, Art's voice is mellow but strong and the production values are outstanding, especially for its day (Listen to the channel switching on "I Only Have Eyes For You" thru ear phones.)

A Really Nice Album. Poor Artie. He rally gets the short shrift, but this album proved that he had the chops to go solo and do it well. I don't know if it was intentional, but this album works two ways: it can be heard as one piece even though it's not a "concept" album, or the songs can be enjoyed individually. I recommend the first option. Don't overlook this very underrated piece of work. It's wonderful.

Perfect. Their is one word to describe this album perfect. If you don't have it buy it.

Should be used as a textbook on how to create a great album. Gee, I think I said it all in the title. It has a timeless beauty. The vocals are just one part of the genius of this album, there are many others. This album, in totality, is probably better than any S & G album - it is, in my book, up there with Simon's Graceland.

There are no bad choices here. Garfunkel not only chose wisely when it came the song selection, he chose very wisely in using Richard Perry to produce the album. Perry's work with Harry Nilsson has held up well and his work with Art Garfunkel shows that it was no fluke. The song selection is critical here as Garfunkel was not a writer at this point in his career. He chose two Stephen Bishop songs that are outstanding in both Garfunkel's and Bishop's renditions. The Waters of March is underrated as a song and I Believe (When I Fall in Love it will be Forever) rivals Stevie Wonder's original. I think that this is among his best work, just shy of the greatness achieved on Watermark.

Same old tears on a new background. Great album. But this song really makes me feel.

Break away. Home

One of my favorite albums of all time. I own a vinyl copy of this record. I own the CD of this record. And now the album is on my iPod. Usually when you buy an album, maybe 3 or 4 songs are good and the other songs seem like filler. Not with this album. Really tough to find a weak song. After "I Only Have Eyes For You", "My Little Town" and "Breakaway" were released as singles, any of the other tracks would have been good choices for the radio. Art's voice is in peak form throughout. Never get tired of listening to these great songs.

One of the greatest singing voices of our time!. What a wonderful, well-produced album this is..and one I remember well from my parents vinyl collection!..I'd like to add that Artie's rendition of "I only have eyes for you" for me anyways, ranks as one of THE VERY best covers of all time!

Amazing songs. The whole thing is great from start to finish, more rock-ish in places compared to his other albums

Great Stuff..... I gravitated to this album a long time ago and recently "rediscovered" it. I have listened to some of his later works and his voice seemed a little weak and old, but this was not the case here. My favorites, "I Only Have Eyes for You" and "99 MIles from L.A."

My Favorite Album of All-time!. I have thousands of CD’s and LP’s — been collecting music my whole life. I place this album as my very favorite of all. After listening to it for now almost 40 years (hard to imagine it’s that old), I NEVER get tired listening to it. For me, the true test of a great album is when you never tire of it. I have all of Art’s albums, but for me this one is the best hands down.

Breakaway. Tough album to find, but when you do get it, it has some of the softest songs ever made. Great all the way through! Art does some outstanding rehashed songs and a couple new ones you'll love. I recommend it highly!

Excellent. Wonderful album, particualarly "I Believe" and "99 Miles From L.A.". Some of Garfunkel's best.

Awesome sounds!!!!. This album brings me back to my 20's which was years ago. Best sounds ever to listen to, I am so glad I was able to find this on iTunes because it is a difficult album to find. I am going to really enjoy listening to this for a long time. 
