Great full record!!. I’ve already listened to the album a few times and I’m really loving this one. It has some call backs to other albums but it definitely stands on its own. Fable of the Silent Son is by far one of my favorites. I have always loved the epics they put out and the journey it takes you on. Listen to the lyrics and engage in this album fully.

More AB awesomeness. This album is full of all the awesomeness you expect from Alter Bridge, and some you might not expect. Not a bad track on the album. Some of their best choruses of all time.

Absolutely nothing inspiring. No one is gonna come back for the title track 5, 10 years from now let alone 6 months from now. Mark will tell you himself that melody is most important and yet there isn’t any real memorable melody in the title track or really any album since Fortress. Band members have way too many projects that by the time we get a new obligatory Alter Bridge album, they’re all spread too thin and we’re left with nothing but mediocrity. Which is sad, because the band is very talented. Also, and for the billionth time, use a different producer; 90% of solving a problem is acknowledging a problem exists. Before losing your mind after reading this, ask yourself this question; do you hear the same level of prestige here that you do in Blackbird? Evolving and devolving are 2 very different things. I love the band and the guys in the bad but they really need to hold themselves to a higher standard.

Growing on me.... I didn't like Pawns & Kings or Silver Tongue, but Silver Tongue has grown on me. I really like the album cover as it's arguably their best.

AB VII IS COMING……. The title track is absolutely amazing. This could be their best record to date 🤘🏽🙌 and all the singles so far have been bangers.

What a ride!. A great collection of tunes and master class in musicianship, thought-provoking lyrics, and heaviness. They are simply the best at what they do.

Killer. All 3 singles are excellent and I have no doubts that the album will deliver. Alter Bridge consistently puts out new music every 3 years and it never disappoints. They are truly good to their fans.

Alter Bridge - Pawns & Kings. I waited until I could hear the full album before I gave a rating. This album is so good. Not a weak song on it. Good job fellas.

Alter Bridge keeps evolving. While keeping their signature rifs, catchy choruses and melodies Alter Bridge keeps evolving and exploring, it takes a few listens but then everything clicks and you know you have another great album even the very sounding pop song “Stay” sang by the Tremonster himself just belongs in this album. ALTER BRIDGE just ROCKS!!!

Metal ?. Surprised to hear more of a metal sound by Alter Bridge. Not my favorite, but not bad either. Think the melody sounds I'm used to hearing from Myles has been a bit lost which is kinda sad with his fantastic vocals.

Keep Listening…. I think it’s tough to listen to an album all the way through on the first listen and really soak it all in. Some tracks will stick out stronger than others on the first listen. By the second and third listens, other tracks will begin showing up and making a stronger presence. Overall, I do echo some of the same sentiments that the guys are rushing this a tad and spreading themselves a bit thin. However there’s plenty to love on this album.

Best of 22. Great album and best album I’ve heard in 2022. The only disappointment is knowing there are more songs that they didn’t put on this album. Hope a b sides will come.

B-Sides?. Sounds like a B-Side compilaiton of the last 2-3 albums...I'll take it!

Just what the doctor ordered. Thank god for Alter Bridge as there is very little good music being released these days. Great thought provoking music with stellar musicianship. While I have songs that don’t appeal to me on all their previous albums, not a lot mind you, I am having a hard time finding any on this one.

They’re back!. Can’t wait! Can’t get enough of these guys!

GREAT. It’s mind blowing how talented mark is. How he’s able to keep coming up with such interesting music is incredible. I can’t imagine having to remember his enormous catalog. Not to mention Myles and the rest of the guys. Not hearing any reasons for the bad reviews. Very bazaar. Yes. It’s much heavier than the last album. This is good. I would love to hear mark and Myles harmonize more. Think that would add another level to already brilliant music. Thanks AB. you guys are living legends as far as I’m concerned

Can we finally get this band a Grammy?. The US market is totally asleep at the wheel. Alter Bridge is top 5 Hard Rock/Rock group. They should be playing & selling out large venues. Their complete catalog is a must have & Pawns & Kings keeps the legendary career going. This band never disappoints. Should have a Grammy winner off this one. Either way, get off your #%* & buy this album. Then Go get all their others. They are that good.

Title track is a masterpiece. Title track is a blast to listen, love the melodies and transitions in between, very emotional, powerful, this will be an instant classic, great follow up to walking the sky💗

Hoping for the best. Alter Bridge is spread too thin… Tremonti has been killing it in his own project, and you can tell the effort is going there. Stick with me here: All the way through Fortress it seems like they clicked on all cylinders, but the last 2 albums were very un-interesting with a few notable track exceptions. AB albums used to be non-stop hits, with every song having a unique melody or sound that made it instantly recognizable. Again, with a few exceptions on the last 2 albums, that magic has gone. I think most of that creativity is now going to the members other projects, especially Tremonti with his own band, and even his Frank Sinatra cover project… which is actually really ****ing good.

Pure Genius So Far. Can’t wait for October to come! AB releases are my favorite things in life. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Best songwriters in the business.

Cannot wait!. The title track is decent but Silver Tongue and Sin After Sin are INCREDIBLE songs! So powerful and angry. Never heard a groove from them like Sin before! One can only guess who Myles is talking about...he's way too coy to admit it though. I just don't understand why bands now are putting out so many songs so quickly in succession way before the album is released. Rock radio doesn't even have time to grab onto a track if that's the intent, before the next one is released. Just takes away from the anticipation of the main album release. Gonna see them live in Minneapolis next February, can't wait!!

They Peaked at AB3. Honestly I love Alter Bridge, but ever since AB3 they went straight metal and lost their heart. The first 3 records are gems but everything since just hasn’t had that same heart. Wish they’d go back to their roots

Alter Bridge doesn’t miss. Killer of a single

Season of Promise. Easily the strongest tune here. Solid riffs typical Alterbridge.

This album is not ready. Sorry, but this sounds like an experiment that was rushed to a conclusion. I can’t find a single song I’d return to. I don’t know, AB may have run it’s course. Tremonti has a strong catalog of solo work; Stapp is flourishing in work and health. Marshall and Flip seem to have the time. Play to your strength, gents.

Ready for this album to drop!!. Great first single off the record. If this is any indication of what’s to come, I can’t wait. I was hopeful the production would change from the last album and I wasn’t disappointed. This is anthemic track!

Fantastic. Another great one by AB!! Only have 2 songs right now, but both are heavy tunes.

Where’s my Alter Bridge?. The new songs all start promisingly but fail to ignite imo. They sound like a regurgitation of previous material - but without the trademark epic choruses and melodies. 😞 Maybe it’s time for fresh ideas from a new producer? Or less copy and paste collaborations between Mark and Myles. 🤷

Big Fan but……. I guess when you produce a masterpiece like Blackbird it’s hard to follow. Been waiting for something similar for years. Love both Myles and Tremonti’s solo stuff and big fam of Tremonti but this just feels like Tremonti with Myles at vocals. More of the same so far.

Never gets old…. After a few listens, front to back, I can say this album doesn’t tire me out. I can listen nonstop. An improvement over their last effort. “Fable of the Silent Son” is my absolute favorite.

Every 3 years. Like clock work every 3 years i get to see what AB came up with, I think that they always try to get out there comfort zone (something that most bands dont do) sometimes it goes out of the ballpark sometimes a triple, double. 3 years gives them time to reenergize and keep coming back and whether we like it or not we are on the back side of "every 3 years" and should enjoy the ride while we still have them. If you dont like the new music find a new band to listen to! I am still all in!

Yawn. Every album since AB3 is getting worse and worse. Just very bland with nothing that sticks. I’ve pretty much given up on them at this point. How bout take a break and knock out a Creed 5 album. Stapp seems to be getting better & better.

Fable of the Silent Son. Great album and this song rivals Blackbird as their best ever.

Some phenomenal work. No it’s not the first 3 albums. If you’re willing to accept that, there’s some outstanding tracks here. This album is filled with tons of cool musical ideas, fantastic guitar riffs and plenty of memorable vocal Melodies. This is a much better outing than walk the sky and even that album had plenty of great songs. The mixing on the album is fantastic and brings it much closer to fortress. The guitar riffs sound big and aren't overly compressed and Myles’s vocals are crystal clear. It’s not my favorite of their albums but to say the band has nothing left to offer is insane. Give this album a listen!

What Happened?. Buy all thier releases, but may hold off on this one. Geez, all 4 singles are average at best. None of these 4 will be around after this tour. At least hope not. Survey says: let’s take a time out and think this one over. So far, don’t think I’d go for it. For now, Punt it!

Always enjoy this band. Really enjoyed the last album...They manage to put out rock that is anthemic and that doesn't sound too computer-mixed/digitized, even though it is, and as opposed to a lot of the commercial rock today. Their most powerful song collection here, in my opinion.

Diggin it !. My favorite album this far has been Fortress. This one has potential to dethrone it. Can’t wait for the full release. Silver Tongue is my jam!!

Awesome!!. I don’t understand how Alter Bridge keep making such amazing albums but I’m super thankful that they do!! It has been on repeat since I got it and once again the pairing of Myles and Marks vocals and guitars backed by the most solid and creative rhythm section in Flip and Brian just brings yet more inspiring songs to their catalogue!! Thank you guys!!!
