Best Album Ever.. Dirt is really my favorite album. All of the songs are amazing and I can't get enough of it. This is the album to buy if you are just about to start listening to Alice in Chains. It's amazing.

Musical Perfection. This is the best grunge/hard rock album of its time and genre. Every track shows extreme musical intellect and is worthy of 5 stars out of 5 stars. Layne and Cantrell's overlapping vocals and hard riffs provide for a signature sound that set AIC apart from other bands of the time. Songs like Sickman, Rain when I die and Would? Are a few personal favorites. I was introduced to Dirt when I first heard Would? on the radio. It became a personal favorite and months later I ventured to find the rest of the album was equally talented. Fans are not over exaggerating when they say this is the best AIC album. R.I.P. Layne ⚰

Perfect. Untouchable

What kind of stupid review did iTunes post... ...for this Album?! This album is a complete example of how a successful formula can create a soulful metal sound. Yes Lane Staley’s struggle with addiction is the base of this soul, and Jerry and the rest of the band matching the pain with artistic support. Together they create a beautiful metal sound that has AMAZING vocals, guitar riffs, bass licks that guide and a drummer who can top it all off with beats to finish off the collaboration of musicianship chemistry. What an amazing piece this album is.

A must have. This to me is the definitive must have of the Alice In Chains collection. The darkness of this album as well the dark harmonies to go with the power chords makes “ Dirt “ absolutely essential

H*ll Yeah!. I'm a big rock guy and The 90's had numerous great bands. Alice in chains in my opinion was the greatest rock band in the early 90's. Layne Staley's voice is up there with plants and Jagger's and so on as I see it. This album has everything you will ever need in an album. Be smart, buy it.

Love the album!!!!. I have fell in love with this album. My dad listened to rock in the car so I grew up listening to AIC. I got to meet Jerry and fell in love with the band all over again. What I find to be the coolest is that the song Rooster is about his dad and his dad is the man in the music video. The music video is also filmed at his dad’s place. The music is just amazing❤️

Um….. Look. The album is a masterpiece. But people are saying it has the genre saying “pop” it says hard rock. I guess they are blind

One of the most iconic album's of the 90's. Really nothing more to say. However, this album is not remastered at all as it sounds exactly the same as the original. They just changed the album cover and slapped on the Apple Digital Master. Another gimmick. Top 5 Songs: 1. Would? 2. Them Bones 3. Dam That River 4. Rooster 5. Down In A Hole

A classic.... I went to High School and College in the 1990's. This album and Stone Temple Pilots Core will always bring me back to the best days of my life!

Dirt: A Review. Look, Alice in Chains proved themselves worthy of the throne of Grunge Metal with their day view album, "Facelift", but this just proves that they were made to hold that title. Songs like "Them Bones", "Dam that River", "Rooster", "Rain When I Die" and "Would?" are what led them into future classics like all of the "Jar of Flies" Acoustic EP and some songs off of their self titled album, like "Grind". From Start to Finish you're hooked on the guitar work and bass line behind it. Cantrell and Starr prove once again that they were made for great things with this album. Staley, while amazing as usual, had some questionable moments, especially on the songs title track and on "Hate to Feel". Staley stays true to what he felt necessary for this album the whole time. The drum work on this album is Semi- Decent and really becomes repetitive after the first Five to Six tracks. On a scale of One to Ten, this album earns an 8.8 due to Staley's somewhat questionable performances and the repetitive drum line. I would actually recommend "Facelift" over this album, but would still recommend this.

It's dark!. This album is as grungy-metal and dark as it really gets. One of the best bands of the '90s, along with Korn.

Their best. I never thought that facelift was any good. But this album was amazing all the way through. And it is still great after all this time.

One of the best albums of the 90s. A landmark album by one of the best bands to come out of seattle. No filler and every song is killer. Wonderful lyrics that are taunt and full of emotion. Amazing guitar, bass and drum work. The whole band is on fire.

Still Awesome!!!!. Saw them in concert recently. Incredible!!!! Jerry is at his best.

the word remaster. This album just had the album title “Dirt” now it has 22 remaster after it. That’s my only complaint.

25 years strong. I don't write reviews. In fact this is my first. This album quantifies the Seattle sound of the 90s, bridging the mainstream (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and even Soundgarden) with the more obscure (Mudhoney, Green River, Mother Love Bone). Never heard? Give it a listen. Solid cover to cover. RIP Lane Staley- please come back. Jesus pick off a Kardashian. Dam that river.

AIC1992. AWSOME!!! Layne Staley was one of a kind! RIP

This is the best album to come out in the 90s. I know that's a bold statement to make, but to me it's the truth. This album is as close as you will come to having a tormented soul cracked open and poured out in the most truthful and raw way possible. It's a must have especially if you are starting to get past the introduction of Alice and see why the are the legends they are today.

My God…. The absolute most 100% incredible unreal and most spectacular album to ever exist. Literally from start to finish. No song is worth skipping and every song is worth understanding. Layne is by far the best vocalist to ever exist and so I don’t ruffle any feathers I’ll say till his death but we all know he’s the best. Jerry Mike and Sean are also killing it to. Literally unreal. I’m glad that I exists to experience this masterpiece. RIP Layne!!!!!

Awesome. Some of Alice in Chains' best and most creative songs came from this album. Love it!

Divine Angry Classic. Musically captivating

Absolutely Amazing. Them Bones. Rain When I Die. Down In a Hole. Rooster. Junkhead. Dirt. Would?. Most bands don't write this many great songs in their entire careers. Jerry and Layne cranked these out on ONE album. If you don't own this album, I feel sorry for you.

Classic. In my opinion this is one of the greatest rock albums of all time. Every song is amazing, and then there are some heart stopping ones too.

A Classic. Close to a classic? No, Dirt IS a classic, through and through. It's my favorite offering from Alice in Chains, and highly recommended listening for fans of heavy music.

Dirt- Alice In Chains. Awesome album, A true rock\Grunge classic if I do say so myself haha but anyways like come on you got Rooster and Them Bones, you cannot go wrong with this album.

Dirt. Being a fairly new Alice in Chains fan, I wasn't sure how I was going to listen to Dirt. It is angry and in your face music and lyrics. Rooster is one of the best songs on this album. Survival and angst all tied together; beautiful melodies and guitar. As I listen to Dirt, it is starting to grow on me. If you are new to Alice in Chains, try out this album. I will guarantee you will like it. Chain Girl

Probably the best album ever made. This is probably the best album I have ever heard, outstanding! Buy it or you'll be sorry!

A brilliant album. I bought this album back in 1992 and for me it just stood out from other more popular albums around at the time. Dark, haunting and well constructed it’s a band at their best. Still love it now and it’ll always be on my list of favourite albums. Staley and Cantrell were a fantastic partnership.

Them bones are me. Beautiful, honest and haunting album. Feel every word of every lyric and every note of every riff. Straight into your heart and soul. Magnificent.

Genre Defining. This album is absolutely flawless. Each song is its own, however they all have the same atmosphere and feel creating a brilliant listening experience. Layne and Jerry's haunting harmonies are just wonderful as well.

Powerful.. One of the best albums ever made by one of the best bands ever made. Have you ever been alone in the deep dark? This is your jam.

Needs more than 5 stars!. An amazing album.. everything about it is perfect.. Layne has one of my favourite voices I have ever heard.. you just feel everything he sings! Hard to pinpoint a single song that could be a favourite on this album.. I just listen to it from start to finish multiple times a day at the moment.
