It's fine!. This is a PERFECTLY servicable pop/rock album! Of course, anyone walking into this thinking it's going to be ANYTHING like Blue or Pinkerton is just setting themselves up for dissappointment. Those albums were great, but the circumstances surrounding those albums were extremely specific, and it's ludicrous to expect that kind of quality again unless the band goes through some sort of crisis of faith. As for what we have here, it's good! Not perfect by any means, but nice! And like, yeah, admittedly, there are some low points here (Prince Who Wanted Everything, Too Many Thoughts), but tracks like Byzantine, Can't Knock The Hustle, and High As A Kite MORE than make up for those small missteps. The comparsions being made to Imagine Dragons are FAR overblown, and anyone who actually listened to this album for more than 30 seconds would know that. In conclusion, good job Weezer! This one's okay.

Oh dear god. Please stop, Weezer

have sold out. more pop dribble

Oh. I thought this was gonna cover Metallica, but I guess I was wrong. This album’s ok though

Not quite the album I wanted. As a fan of Weezer since the first album way back in 94 I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. I remember back in the 90’s and early 00’s Weezer not really realising many albums but they were quality when they did. Having to wait 5 years from their second album ‘Pinkerton’ until the Green album which was incredible. I remember wishing Weezer would release more albums but now I feel that have been releasing quantity over quality. The last few albums have been released in short succession and all are very forgettable. The black album is very forgettable. I have listened too it a few times in the hope a gem would pop out but much like the white album I can’t even remember listening to it!!

Oh the horror!. Sad days...

weezer. i think they are going a bit downhill tbh

This is a great album. Weezer are adapting and have been for some time. This album much like their last is an absolute Gem. From start to finish it’s pure Joy and rightly so. I love Weezer and their ever changing directions. I’m looking forward to what they do next. O and the Teal album is a blast too. Props to Rivers, he’s a funny dude who doesn’t take himself to seriously. Make up your own minds and enjoy. It’s great music.

Please stop. This is so bad.

Different but good. Some great songs on this album. Some are weaker than others but high as a kite and living in L.A. Make up for this. Great job Weezer!

Should be in the pop section.. Anyone remember when Weezer used to be a rock band? I was hoping the recent and awful teal album that covered songs like for like with no artistic interpretation or imagination whatsoever could be made up for here with this album, but having listened to some of the tracks it looks like they have descended into the realms of lip syncing and dance routines. I’m so glad I didn’t go out and buy the CD and was able to listen first. Next stop - opening for Justin Beiber!
