Wow. Actually rlly good

Great Refresh of Great Songs. Weezer has done a great job of refreshing these great tunes from the past, many of which are timeless classics. They stay true to the original recording while providing an updated and edgier feel to the music.

Hang it up fellas!. Your absolute high was the Blue album. This is below sea level. Wish I could drown the thoughts that pop into Rivers’ mind. How dare you brutalize those songs?!

Always surprising. The coolest band of the last 25 years does it again! Good for a laugh but also just plain good. Always liked the sense of humour in the band. Some 80s hair metal covers are now in order, please.

To a New Level of Digression. Sometimes a band should just stop. Weezer recognized this, and did so, Then un-did so. Then did-so. And now we're here. This is a whole new level of campiness with a very distintive cheese odor that could have only been achieved with such an eclectic batch of cover songs, only to be worsened by an uncomfortable cringey album cover. The band look like a bunch of unwilling pets some child has dressed for an imaginary tea party.

Yeesh... Sounds like a bunch of ageing hipsters using protools and auto-tune to the max.

I'm loving this album!!. Seriously every song is well done on this album. I don't always love cover songs, but they did a great job. Listening to this one on repeat.

Covers by people who clearly love the originals. I love these songs and would hate for someone to tamper with them or reinvent them. Weezer stays true to the songs in the sincerest form of flattery. I love this whole album. Love it.

Love this. Love ‘Take on Me’, he has incredible range! I love that they covered Mr Blue Sky and such a range of other different songs... fun to listen to and sing along

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.. Give up. Put down the mic it’s over. How can you slaughter Billie Jean like that? Absolute garbage. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Is this a joke?. I read somewhere that this album was conceived as a joke after the whole Rosanna/Africa debacle on twitter. If it is or is not, it still works very well. Out of the 10 songs, I’m familiar with (and love) 8 of the originals. Weezer puts a very “Weezer” spin on it and it works very well! They brought great hits back to life several decades after they had their spotlight. They’re great with covers and there’s a few more covers I’d love to hear from them!

Listen to the originals.. If you’re stumbling upon these songs for the first time, then please, do yourself the biggest favour in the world and listen to the originals. There is nothing interesting about this album. Weezer doesn’t even try to re-invent this music. They’re talented, they’re fun. It’s unfortunate that they squander those qualities.

Fu*k all the haters. This honestly rocks, I haven’t loved any music lately because I’ve been sad, and this made me in-sad. So I say, I don’t want no scrubs, a scrub is a guy who doesn’t like this album. Also known as a busta.

bravo👏🏽. i don’t understand some of the hate this album’s getting, people claiming weezer’s trying to ‘’rebrand’’ themselves lol they don’t need to, they’re weezer. this album’s great, refreshing timeless classics and throwing them into a bundle, love it 🤘🏽💕.

Meh. I have been a Weezer fan from the release of the Blue Album and have stuck with them over their ups and downs. When I first saw the track list I was excited to see what they would do with these songs. Upon listening I was very disappointed that they didn't make the songs their own. I don't see the point in anyone recording cover songs and not changing them at all. It could have been a great album but it is really just bad.

So glad I pressed play. I was a bit skeptical until I hit "play". This album is sick!!!

I like weezer, but... this album did not do the band justice. They could have picked better songs to cover that complimented their style instead of mimicking hard-to-top, big songs. I was hoping for more of Rivers’ punky voice and better punk spins on songs for originality. Maybe they could have done songs in their genre like Santaria by Sublime, but also great punk-alternative versions of mediocre pop songs.

And?. They brought nothing new to any of these covers. Just sang along to music/lyrics someone else came up with and did better originally. Here, let me give you money for your bland Ozzy Osbourne and TLC karaoke.

A solid album from a solid band. This isn’t the best album that they have made which no one should expect for a cover album and no one should expect from a new weezer album everyone knows they peeked at Pinkerton (or some would say the blue album). It’s still an album filled with good covers not to different from the originals but, also not carbon copies. I wish they changed some of the songs a little more (example: Sweet Dreams) whilst others were perfect (example: Mr. Bluesky).

Not a fan of cover songs.... I wanted to like this but...no.

Impressive. Amazing album, although the drummer is a little too heavy with the beats on most of the tracks and it drowns out the rest of the music but still deserves 5 stars.
