Underrated. Criminally underrated album. This album slaps.

Weezer's Best. In rating every single Weezer album, Maladroit is in my top spot. There are many others very close, including Green, White, & Pacific Daydream.

Great tunes, but.... Oooof. The lyrics to Dope Nose did not age well. Yikes.

Underrated Weezer album!. To me this is one of Weezer's best albums as it has a great guitar driven sound that also pulls the angst feel from their earlier albums and blends them to perfection. Band also does not overproduce the songs so they have nice polish with rough undertone that works perfectly. Really find that the majoirty of the songs still have that 50's chorus hook that suits Weezer's style (and is the core of it) but get pumped up with a stronger guitar edge pushing them forward. One thing the songs on this album actually may benefit from is that they are shorter in length so they pack more of a impact in the shorter time frame they are presented in - only 2 songs clock in over 3 minutes! Besides "Dope Nose" & "Keep Fishin'" the rest of the songs may not be as well known but find this to one of their best albums from start to finish with little to no filler. Other stand out tracks include Slave, Take Control, Burnt Jamb, Fall Together and Slob. Very underrated album that should be higher on your list to get if you are into checking out Weezer's catalogue.
