A Change is gonna Come. I read one critics review that called this CD flawed; well then, I must be flawed. This is one of my a favorite CD's. Leela's remake of the great Sam Cookes song, A Change is Gonna Come, is nothing less than great. For anyone who loves good soul music, this entire CD is it.

Wow, whoever wrote the main review.... Needs to wake up. This is a soulful album, not because it is reminiscent of the 60s and 70s, but because it it obvious that she is singing from there. Leela's arguement about making "real" music in her song "Music" is not tired, and it won't be tired until there is a change. Truth is, songs that make absolutely no sense and are inspiring or express words from the heart is what is popular. It's a shame. People like Leela speak their minds and are shut down? Why? Is it because people are too afraid or ashamed to admit that the music industry is the way that it is because of US? This is a really good album and I would not shun it.

A Change Is Gonna Come!!!. Listening to Leela James, I do believe a change is gone come. This is the first R&B/Sould album I caould listen to all the way through (female artist) in a long time. She is speaking the truth on this ablum, and that voice ain't nothin to mess with. I love singers that can sang and this girl surely can. The remake of No Doubts "Don't Speak" is so well done, I can't believe she pulled it off, cause Gwen is hard to match, but Leela did it. I give this album five stars, cause I bought it today and listened to it three times already and called family and friends and played it. I'm a music fanatic and I don't get excited over any and everyone, so believe me when I say...this is a HOT ONE People!
