I love this album, traditional Jimmy Buffett, imaginative songs, such as Enistein was a surfer, to songs that are light hearted and joyful like Earl's dead, Cadilac for sale. P.S. Jimmy still waiting for the remake and release of Turning around off the Summer Rental soundtrack!

Are you really a parrothead?. What don't you haters understand? Jimmy isn't the captain of a small fishing boat anymore it's a full blown cruise ship. The days of mañana and a pirate looks at forty have passed and now Jimmy has changed his tune to encourage a whole new bunch of parrotheads to join the party. Those of us who were around still understand and hear the stories in the music. No matter what you think enjoy the ride because it's been a lovely cruise for the captain and the kid.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!. This is Buffett's lyrical song writing at its best! I am in love with the artistic prose in each song and how they all tell an adventurous story from journeys around the globe. My favorite is Tides and close behind is Somethin Bout a Boat and of course Rue de la Guitar Je t'aime! Buffett has a way of making the mundane moments in life seem magical, artistic and poetic. LOVE IT!

Listen with your common sense.. I agree with A-train187. Someone said "can't hold a tune anymore"...er, excuse me? If someone can't hold a tune, they'd be humming "Happy Birthday" and you wouldn't know what song it was. THAT is what not holding a tune means. Jimmy Buffett is marvelous in that he does not take himself seriously and is putting stuff out there for people to enjoy. You either buy it or not, but WHY complain?!?! If you don't like ice cream, don't eat it, but why complain about it? Those of us who enjoy his style, wit, humor and music..will enjoy having this and do not bemoan the fact he is getting older. BTW, if you aren't getting older, sell us your secret.

Worst yet. I've been a Jimmy Buffett fan for years. It is time he retired. Can't sing and the songs are just not very good. To some of these fans Jimmy is a God and whatever he puts out is 5 stars. This is just not good at all. I give it a zero. Awful.

Great. How the hell did Jimmy even get some rap into his songs, great. His writing is still great!

Back to his best !!. Having been a dedicated (Australian) fan for about 40 years, and the proud owner of everything he's ever recorded, I just loved this latest release. Sure, there are a couple of tracks that ain't brilliant, but in general it ranks with some of his best. On first listening, the voice is a little different (sounds a little nasal), but it's still the same old JB (thankfully). "Something bout a Boat" is my personal favourite, but in general another great effort from a perpetually brilliant entertainer. Please come back down under Jimmy, but don't fall off the stage this time.
