Absolutely Stunning. It's been a long time since I've heard a vocalist with such a pure, unadulterated, magnificent voice as Katherine Jenkins. As an American, it took a Christmas episode of Doctor Who to introduce me to her music, but I was immediately converted. She is such a lovely singer-- words don't do her talent any justice at all, in fact. "Abigail's Song" is so sweeping and dramatic, and this album is just the same: all the year 'round, I listen to things like Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Jet, The Beatles, The Stones, Nina Simone, and the Classic Vinyl and XMU stations on Sirius Satellite, but as soon as Thanksgiving comes and goes, I switch it all off in favor of things that celebrate humanity and the spirit of the season. This album is one of those celebrations. I will forever be a fan of the treasure that is Katherine Jenkins and her majestic voice.

Simply Beautiful (10 Stars). I am glad that I purchased Katherine Jenkin's "This Is Christmas". It's very beautiful. She has such a gorgeous voice. I was impressed with the whole album and felt moved throughout. Sometimes I felt tears of joy. O Come O Come Emmanuel and Away In a Manger are beautiful, In Dulci Jubilo, Deck the Halls and Hark the Herald Angels Sing are classic and Santa Baby is cute and fun. I was also moved by I Wish You Christmas. Very pretty and uplifting. I purchased my copy at Target and received two different songs for tracks 11 and 12. O Holy Night and The Little Road to Bethlehem. Both very pretty. I will purchase Wexford Carol and In The Bleak Midwinter as well as they are beautiful. I truly love every song on here. If you're considering purchasing This Is Christmas please don't hesitate as you will not be disappointed in the slightest but rather moved and touched in a comforting and familiar way this Christmas season.
