Stand!. Wow the version of "Stand" was just amazing! Donnie McClurkin's original was great and this is a fresh new rendition. Katherine McPhee is just a phenomenal singer and a great actress. Really good show.

Where is Run??. I love Smash!! This show is great and it is truly showing how incredible Katharine McPhee is but WHY is "Run" not on the album? "Shake it Out" is, and that was another incredible cover but seriously, you need to put "Run" on there as well! Please, please, please...add this song....

Katherine McPhee is the STAR**. Megan Hilty is a great singer, but she can't sing regular music...her voice works better when on broadway or a musical..but her version of Who You Are is terrible....the only person who can sing that is Jessie J(The writer/singer of the song). Katherine's voice is beautiful and works whether on broadway or singing an adele song...Two different voices, two different sounds....but they both are really unique!!!!:) Megan does great at singing Upside down by Mary J Blige....But I can't say the same for the speed up songs that she tries very hard to sing...and it shows. And Nick Jonas is always great!!!!! ;):p

Love!. Love the show and the songs! But where is "I never met a Wolf..."?! And I still don't understand why Leslie Odom couldn't sing the entire "Stand" number?! I mean I love Kat, but his voice is beautiful and i was bummed that he sang so little when she gets to sing every episode. And I could listen to Megan Hilty and Will Chase ALL day!!

Half of the album is filler - just buy the singles. On your first listen of this album, you’ll probably think “ummm where are all the songs?!” The original hits are there such as “History Is Made At Night”, “The 20th Century Fox”, “Let’s Be Bad,” "Touch Me" and of course “Let Me Be Your Star,” but that’s about it! ¬¬ Glaringly missing are other originals like Christian Borle’s “Don’t Say Yes Until I Finish”, Will Chase’s “On Lexington & 52nd Street”, Raza Jaffrey’s “A Thousand And One Nights” and Katharine McPhee’s “Never Give All The Heart”. BUT you can buy these as singles. Thankfully one majorly cringe worthy cover track “Cheers (Drink To That)” didn’t make the cut. Unfortunately some other shockas did e.g. the cover of Michael Buble’s “Haven’t Met You Yet” and the unremarkable remake of Florence & The Machine’s “Shake It Out”. My advice – don’t buy this album, make your own with the singles. NBC probably should have done two SMASH albums for season one – the originals and the covers.
