As a long time fan of David Newman and Mira it has been wonderful to see the progression of their music; the new album Stars incorporates a quality of singer songwriter tunes integrated and merged with beautiful kirtan melodies. As a yoga teacher this album will be a perfect complement as background music for my classes. From the title song Stars, "We are like stars, stars in the night. The darker this night the brighter we will shine", just one of the many simply beautiful lines found in each of the tracks.
