Mature Vocals at their Best. I own both this and the United Artists Classics and Gordon Lightfoot has been one of my favourite singers since the mid-70s. The tremolo in his later voice is glorious but I love the angst of the early voice quality of the younger man equally. These songs are the essence of Canada in my mind, I see the landscape and seasons in the words.
