God Purpose? Michael W. Smith Does.. This album has the sound of unity in Jesus Christ. The arrangements, performances and talents are amazing, yet secondary to the purpose of the album. The cover songs are great, but I think Smith's songwriting on this album is exceptional. This is an album you will listen to over and over again.

Good but frustrated.... Most of the songs on here are good. Dont get me wrong... But the only thing is i hate it when someone takes an already amazingly popular song from another artist and redoes it(Amazing Grace, Mighty to Save) Both versions of these songs are terrible. Well not so much Mighty to Save but Amazing Grace is absolutely horrible! I liked most of the rest of the songs tho! Overall pretty good!

Reminders from the past. I was fortunate to go to a college where MWS would just drop in and visit. Having heard him play in the background during a prof's lectures and adding depth to the worship involved to our chapels, listening to this CD brings me back to that amazing time when you knew God was in the room with you. Way to go MWS, and thank you for reminding me of that time once again!

A New Hallelujah. The Title of the albumn in and of itself shows Michaels desire to sing a new song to Jesus. Deep in love with You is also new. Michael wrote that with his wife and Christa Black. In other words, family and friends got togeather and Jesus used them to write new music that everyone worships Jesus by. That pleases the Lord. God did not say every single song has to be new. Jesus inspired original writers to write the song, someone else hears. It touches their heart. Then they worship God their own way. So many timesI have listened to worship songs that have already been written, and they say exactly to God what I want to say. When I sing them. It is me singing to the Lord Jesus Christ.
