Blown Away. I olny receentlly discovered Laika back in december of 06. but i fell in love with them instantaneously. over the corse of a month i have gotten all of there CD's. But whereever i am i am whats missing is by far my favourite album by them. the sounds are different from there previous works. But they work better for me. There is a more watery sound to everything, insted of the more airy quality to there earlier albums. The best song on here is without a doubt "girl without hands". even if you dont pay attention to the lyrics, the sound is simply beautiful, its the best thing to just come home. kick back and watch the rain in a cosy blanket with some hot choclate with your favourite pet alseep in your lap.

consistent groove beat. this album is like a consistent groove salad delivered flawlessly and lovingly across the wires. i especially love little elements like the the final base and drum line on 'Oh'. this is a strong and simple offering and thankfully sticks to the elements that made Laika an addiction in the first place.

Either best or 2nd best. I have to strongly dissagree with the reviewer on this CD. I think it is Laika's best or second best album, possibly behind Good Looking Blues. When that cd came out, i started listening to Laika, starting with only that album. Over the next few years, i picked up their others, with only a song or two here and there sticking with me. But when WIAIAWIM came out, it was not only immediately listenable, but it has stuck with me as the one i enjoy listening to the most. I think, contrary to the review, that by coming back to, and further refining and simplifying their original formula, Laika found the most pure and concentrated form of their sound. And it is mesmorizing. Sweet, and mysterious. As in another review i posted, this is the perfect soundtrack to a snowy landscape, be it the city or the forest, by yourself, wrapped in your own clothes, and the snowy silence all around you.

Go Fish For Nails.... I give this album, which is very good, five stars by virtue of the track "Fish for Nails" alone. It is just killer! It is one the most played songs on my iPod, play count at 57. The rest of the album is fresh and inventive, exciting and chilled in the same breath. I strongly urge you to check it out, along with the rest of their albums.
