Well mixed, but where the beef?. "Hey U" and "Everybody" are body-movin beats in the standard Jaxx style, while with "On the Train" they explore a jazzier, smoother sound reminiscient of the flappin 20's. Unfortunately, those songs are buried in with 12 other tracks. This is one of those meandering albums where it seems like the artist (or label) was just in too much of a hurry to cut an album. Makes you want to ask Bassment Jaxx "Where's your head at?" Thank goodness we're on iTunes, and we can cherry pick.

GREAT album but.... OK I am not the most objective of reviewers, I just can't get enough of Basement Jaxx. But WHY is there only one of their music videos available for sale? I wanted to purchase "Romeo" and "Take Me Back To Your House". I guess I will just have to download them for free now. Get with it somebody!

not their best. The basement jaxx are a good band but this was their worst album but their still a good band. Their kind of starting to sound like a pop band though. But basment jaxx have always been a good band. I was just shocked from this album. I still give the basement jaxx some props.

Weak for Jaxx, stll excellent. This is probably the most uneven of Basement Jaxx's four albums, and I'd probably recommend any of the other three over this one, particularly because nothing screams LEAD SINGLE the way Red Alert, Romeo, and Good Luck did. Basement Jaxx is still, however, the best and most original act in electronic music, and even their weakest album is better than nearly anyone else's dance albums. A lot of people have singled out certain relatively strong dancey tracks, but actually the highlight of this album is Lights Go Down, which is a really great song and by far the best slow song they've ever done. I'm not usually a fan of their slower stuff, but that song is an instant fave for me, really extraordinary. The album also features a lot of great wacky interludes, and some good songs, but there are times when it feels like they're getting dangerously close to being little more than commercial pop music--against which they used to be the "Remedy...

Am I in London?!. I've always been a fan of these guys but never loved them as much as I do right now! There are at least three good commercial hits on there but the remainder is just good Basement Jaxx.
