Its Variety is its Strongest Point. What about Scarlet Rivera? Her violin and her voice interpaly beautifully with Dylan's guitar and voice. What an underappreciated artist (I'm talking about Scarlet). She has been compared to such notables as Jean-Luc Ponty, Papa John Creach, and David LaFlamme. This is a damn strong album and even someone turned off by Dylan's nasal voice would appreciate it.

The Poet Lord Has Passion. You Know that Movie Hurricane is just a another potato chip movie. The song is an epic that is time specific and bruised by Hollywood. If you skip the first song the rest of album is a poetic story from the desert of the heart that can be compaired to the writings of TS Eliot. Dark, personal and thoughtful, Dylan is reborn.

a must have for any dylan fan. a must have for a dylan fan and for a music lover of almost any type. Not as great as Blood on the Tracks, but a close second....a great collection of songs...from Hurricane to Sara...and Joey and Isis and on an on....purely a magical abum. for one couldnt care less about it being all over the map and not "protesty" enuff...it is simply good songs.

lesser known classic. This album is excellent a MUST BUY for a deeper cut into the music of Bob Dylan. Hurricane is riviting, Isis (who is an Egyptian god that looks like a cat) is just wow, and Joey is a great ballad!
