It's great, but not Radiohead-great. The Eraser is certainly a brilliant album--probably one of my personal all time favorites--but if I'm being honest, it still doesn't quite amount to any of Radiohead's albums (except of course Pablo Honey). However, in its own right, The Eraser comes highly reccomended. If there was any doubt that Thom Yorke was one of the greatest musicians in the world, this will put it to rest. It's best listened to as a complete album, and there's no stinkers in the bunch, so you'd be best off just buying the whole album.

Not Sure. why this album is called brilliant. It is the opposite of that adjective. Thom Yorke is no genius, nor is he some brilliant singer. He cannot hold a candle to Jonsi from Sigur Ros, and this album simply grates. Have you ever chewed tin foil? It's like this album.

Takes a Couple Listens. At first, I'll admit I wasn't digging all the electronica running rampant through the record. Though, what do you expect from Thom Yorke? He's willfully difficult and loves to be contrary. That being said, there are some really great tracks on here. "Harrowdown Hill" is my favorite; an overlooked gem.
