Wish I'd have bought it sooner.. I bought it from WalMart. I just wish I'd had the cover work when I saw him in concert. He signed the cover from his first CD which I already had, the poster I bought at the show, AND the water bottle that he'd thrown into the crowd, which I caught. Then he posed for a picture with it. All the time being very conversational. He's definitely great to his fans. He put on a very very energetic and quality show, working the crowd well most of the time. The guy can flat out belt a song. And this CD is AWESOME, a great follow up to his debut. I hope he is around for awhile, because I enjoy his music.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE .... Good singer, GREAT Song writer!!!!!!! Best I have heard in a long time!!!
No sophomore slump!!. Too bad SonyBMG Nashville has once again missed out. This sophomore effort is actually better than his debut, which was quite impressive. From the Texas roadhouse of "Good One Comin' On" to the autobiographical "Ropin' Pen" this is a knockout record. Once again Frank Rogers (Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Brad Paisley) allows the artist to direct the production style to killer results. "On Again Tonight" is a killer 6/8 power ballad that foregoes the usual Nashville syrup of perfect romance for a portrait of lust and longing. "Surprise" is the kind of song Toby Keith tries to write; funny, sexy, and catchy as hell. Great album.
Good Stuff. I know good stuff when I hear it ...this ..is flat out good stuff..and I really like it that iTunes helps you find this "stuff"...really...lesser known but-and very good for the genre !
awesome. Trent's voice gave me chills, especially on "Louisiana Rain." This is a great CD, and is definitely a good surprise!
