Full of Empty by Taxim

After pretty turbolent therapy sessions like “Psychologenfutter” and ‘parents guides’ in the vein of “Dein Kind?”, TAXIM strike back with their 7th full-length album and eventually invite to a deep therapy. It exactly begins where their last album “Monitoring” ended, so they left all guitar and cello cases wide open and mainly worked on the scenery. Instead of tons of technical equipment, this time the choir of Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra stood behind Alex, Kat and Jigels. Wait... Is it going to be neo-classical? Indeed, their strangely entitled album “Full Of Empty” offers many neo-classical elements. However, those who know TAXIM for a while, certainly know that they haven’t broke new ground. What is new is that, this time, the instrumental musicians from Germany didn’t make 11 tracks and 11 styles. Also, quite unlike “2011”, they actually didn’t floor any accelerator. Therefore, “Full Of Empty” definitely is the calmest album in TAXIM’s discography, but thanks to quite intense and partially hollywood-style tracks, hardly anyone will miss their relentless side. The music of our three hobby psychologists didn’t get less catchy anyway and yet the opening track “Erinnerungen an Morgen” makes clear that TAXIM are back in top shape.
