Uhm,. Best musical, movie, AND soundtrack. It's real and, the selections they picked to be on this particular cd were some of the best. I bought it 20 minutes after seeing the movie and, it's amazing.

*is in wonderment*. Wow. RENT... How do you describe it? The movie? The play? The music? My best friend in the entrie world (who we shall call Peaches) and I are RENT Fangirls. It's something that is a quintesential essence of our friendship, RENT. We know "Tango: Maureen" by heart. "Out Tonight" warrents some hair tossing and a 'meow' here and there ^^. Peaches finds "Today 4 U" to be a favorite of hers, while "One Song, Glory" strikes a chord for me. "Seasons Of Love" Is a song that is always sung at the summer camp we attend, and it always makes everyone feel so interconnected as we all sing this favorite together. So, on behalf of Peaches (who does not yet own an ipod), I will tell you what she would say: "RENT is SO AWESOME. The music is just so incredible-- you have to watch it, and buy the soundtrack, because YOU WILL LOVE IT." As for me... I agree wholeheartedly. RENT is astounding. Don't miss out.

RENT is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. the soundtrack to the movie definetely does justice for the broadway play. although it doesnt include all of the songs it is still amazing! Listen to one song and it will change your LIFE. It is the best movie, play, and soundtrack of all time. Me and my friends are crazy about it. All i have to say is DOWNLOAD!

Excellent, but missing two songs!. I love this album, as well as the show, but where are Another Day and Over the Moon? I wish they were here, that just might make it perfect. But its still amazing anyways, so I'm not too disappointed.

I <3 Rent!!!. The movie was good and I love the songs...i know most of the words to it. I didnt really like the music till I saw the movie because i really didnt understand it. but now i LOVE it. i think everybody should give it a try because its really the only broadway show that has music close to what most people listen to. well hope you all enjoy my favorite cd THE RENT SOUNDTRACK!!!

3 Bucks for a stupid remix???. There's another "selections" cd for 9.99! All that's different is the album cover and the good, but not worth 3 bucks, remix. So, buy the other one. Other than that, it's amazing music.

YES!!. I already own the full album, but this album has all of the main songs! Except...sniff sniff....it doesn't have Goodbye Love!! That is the most emotional scene and song in the movie!!! C'mon! But besides that, it has all of the best songs (Seasons of Love, Take Me Or Leave Me, Without You, I'll Cover You (reprise), and Out Tonight)!!! This is great for people who like RENT, but don't want to use their money on all of the smaller and less amazing songs (Life Support)! Now they have the pocketbook of RENT! Now instead of having to tear those pages out, they can enjoy the whole thing!! And fyi...that was a metaphor. I was comparing this album to a book....so don't think I"m crazy and I think this is a book.... But anyways this is a great album with the best songs on it!! BUY THE WHOLE THING!!!

WOW!!!!. This alumb is great for any broadway fans. It is a perfect story of six people try to surive in New York City. Every single vocalist in this alumb are breath-grabbing. My favoirte songs are 1)La Vie Boheme A&B 2)Tango: Maureen 3) What You Own You can't go wrong with anyone single one of these songs. BUY THE ALUMB NOT SONGS ONE BUY ONE!!!!!! That is the mistake I made

OMG!!!!!! i loved the movie and the songs!!!!!! buy them while you can they are awsome. some are funny, some romantic!!!! i have them stuck in my head and sing them all day they rock that much!!!!!!!!!! if you don't beleive me take a listen. "i should tell you" is one of the best and so is "today 4 u." you won't regret it!!

Amazing--5 stars all the way!. The Broadway show was way more powerful than the movie, but it managed to come pretty darn close!! The best movie from a Broadway show that I have ever seen. The songs are amazing, some are fun, some are sad. Either way, this is an awesome CD, worth every penny!!!

It's Just One of Those Soundtracks!!!!!. *Sigh* ever since I saw the movie RENT with my best friend I have been absolutely OVER THE MOON for these songs! Every single one has got my head spinning. Every day in school I hum the tunes to myself and then when I get home I blast the music so that we can all hear it!!!!

Good but Not Good Enough. Okay, I have no problem with a selections cd, it's good for people who don't have enough money I guess. However, why did they cut certain songs is beyond me, I get cutting Over the Moon, Life Support, You'll See, Seasons of Love B and Finale BUT why did they cut Another Day, Will I, Goodbye Love and Your Eyes?! Those songs are important, so are the other 4 but not as much. If they had kept those or at least put Another Day and Goodbye Love, it would be better.

RENT. I've listened to the preview of number 18, and it sounds a little odd, but definitely listen to Rent and What You Own. They're invigorating. They fill you up with energy, good to listen to if you're lying on the couch eating potato chips and need an energy boost.

OBSESSED.... i saw Rent the musical and ever since I have been absolutley obsessed...this broadway cast is to die for...and the movie was not at all dissappointing...truthfully, i like the movie sountrack better...but still this is amazing too!

Missin Songs. Bought the album at the store and was disapointed when I saw songs MISSING! There is the ACTUAL CD with all the songs so I would suggest goin to buy that one. It includes songs from deleted scenes too so go find that one!

Great cd. I have all great things to say about this cd. But I only wished that the song I'll cover you reprised was as powerful and moving as it was in the movie. Other than that this cd is fantastic ((:

Amazing!!!. I have seen Rent the show and the movie and the soundtrack from the movie is even better than the show!

Only half a fan I'm afraid. It really has nothing to do with the musical or the songs that are available. I have always loved Rent, but the thing I am not the most approving of is that I feel like there is so much emotion that is missing in the voices on the soundtrack. One example of this is the "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" Jesse L. Martin playing Collins, is probably my favorite character in the movie, and this song is equally my favorite because he is so desperately mortified by the death of Angel. He sings the song well in the soundtrack, but It just doesn't reach the level of the movie. Alas, for these examples, I can only give it a 3 star. :( It breaks my heart.

I love the Rent Soundtrack.. The songs really make me happy and make me want to sing and dance, I love it. Anyone who has seen the movie or musical will love the soundtrack, and even if you haven't, you can understand what the characters are singing about, these songs really touched my soul.

GREAT GREAT GREAT!. I love the movie more then anything, I love the soundtrack too! Theres one thing i was mad about i forgot that there was 2 cds! So when i bought the whole album i was like "wheres Over the moon, Life support and Halloween ect." so i had to go to the other cd and pick through the songs that i had and that i still needed! but other then that it was the best in other words GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!

Seasons of Love. I love this song! This and Tango Maureen are the best songs ever. You HAVE to see the movie. So Wonderful!

Warner Brothers= Greedy little piggies. After releasing the Movie soundtrack, was it really necessary to release a "Best of" compilation? It sounds to me that stupid arrogant Buisness execs saw the box office results and said, "How can we make more money off this movie, because it's not doing so hot at the box office". So they threw darts at a dart board full of stupid ideas and went with this one. The music itself isnt bad, its actually a pretty good interpretation, but the idea behind this makes me disgusted. >:(

Mimi and roger...yay. this is probably the best movie in the world. Mimi and roger have great voices . My favorite song is I SHOULD TELL YOU. The movie would be nothing without theese songs. Once you see the movie and hear the songs you will be so obsessed.

Great Soundtrack. For someone who's never seen the original broadway production, I thought the movie and its music was fantastic. At first, I thought I wouldn't like it. After seeing the movie, I've become addicted! What a wonderful soundtrack.

everything is RENT. I actually have the double disc soundtrack and not this highlight one. But I know all of the songs are amazing. I've seen the movie 4 times already and I plan to see it many many more times before the months where I'll have to wait before it comes on DVD. I listen to this album everyday. My favourite songs change everyday too. Lately, I've been listening to "Light My Candle", "La Vie Boheme", "Another Day" , and "Finale B" the most. I also love "Take Me or Leave Me" and "Over The Moon" - Idina Menzel's voice equals AMAZING! She was the reason I bought the album and saw the movie to begin with and now I'm a huge fan.

Awesome.. I first heard this soundtrack when I was... around eight or nine. And although at the time i had no idea WHAT AIDS, drugs, or drag queens were, and i'd never heard of strippers, or gay relationships, I loved it. I knew every word off by heart, and listened to the burned CDs that were given to me until they wore out. After they wore out, I forgot about it for years. But now, seven years later, i watched the movie for the first time, and realised that I still know every single word, and now understand it. Amazing, wonderful music, I love every note of it.
