Forget The Beard. If this had been sung by Adele, it would be number one. Very, very impressive song, chosen by ORF (like the BBC chose Molly) who were bang on the money. Who cares whether Conchita is male, female, transgender or bifocal - the song speaks for itself and was a worthy winner. Shame on you Russia, Belarus and that smug "points monkey" from Lithuania suggesting a shave.

Bought it on principle. Seeing that Conchita had won lifted my spirits so much after a very low day. Let's all rise like a phoenix. The world needs more people, like the beautiful Conchita, to be broadening the minds of the fools and reassuring those very sensitive people who are feeling vulnerable and alone just because their sad society has yet to accept the way they were born.

Nonsense. I can not believe we lost to that song. We where among two other country's that could have one, Sweden and France yet we lost to Austria, the song isn't even that going by comparison to the others. Next year I hope Britain will definitely win like she should.

complete drivel. I have very eclectic tastes in music but I seriously can’t understand what the fuss with the song is… It’s just NOT a great song…… as a Eurovision winner it will be quickly forgotten apart from a bearded singer. If you look at the statistics of phone votes it was selected by the juries and not the general public who phoned in.

How did this win. Uk, Iceland, Malta, France, Netherlands, Greece, Norway, Finland are just a few that were better, just cos she has a beard, absolute joke
