A better sequel. Everyone is familiar with Neil's 'Harvest' album, this could be considered the sequel to that very successful album. I will go one step further and say that I like this album much more than Harvest. Harvest Moon is timeless and has some of Neil's all-time best songs - Dreamin Man, One of These Days, Harvest Moon, Unknown Legend to name a few. These songs may be uncharted territory for some of you, but if you get a copy, you'll know xactly what i'm taking bout

Didn't lose his touch. Same sound as "harvest" love it!!

Five Stars. This album is a must have for any Neil fan. These songs here are beautiful, heart felt and unforgettable. If you don't believe me, listen to Harvest Moon, From Hank to Hendrix, and Natural Beauty. It's easy to get misty eyes listening to these lyrics.

A Treasured Memory. Played this while my friend passed away in my arms. It was his favorite album. He danced to this with his wife when she was alive and I had to have a copy for myself. Most beautiful mellow songs. A treasure!

Beautiful!. If I had to choose only one album to keep this would be it!

A Timeless Classic. Pour yourself a drink, kick back and enjoy a collection of ballads by a master song writer and singer. This album is a must have for anyone that is a Neil Young fan. This is an older, more mature Neil Young reflecting on life. Watch it! Harvest moon is enough to inspire you to buy an acoustic guitar and try your dead level best to sing and play it. Lol.

❤️. ❤️

A Must Have For.... A must have album for any fan of Neil Young.

Mesmerizing and Authentic. There isn't much that Neil Young can do wrong in my eyes, and this record is one that I keep coming back to. Brutally honest lyrics filled with remorse, hope and redemption. My wife and I chose "Harvest Moon" as our wedding song 8 years ago because it is a song that, to us, spoke about the true nature of love. There are upsides and downsides to relationships. There are high points and low points. Real love embraces this and doesn't put a flowery, overly optimistic spin to being together. This album is honest, good and beautiful.

"From Hank To Hendrix!". ..It's Still A "War Of Man!"..I do agree with the Lead Reviewer; Regretful & Ruminating; But Ultimately Resourceful & Romantic is Neil Young's "Harvest Moon!"-{If it Sounds like the Sequel to his Harmonious "Harvest" LP; Well; It's "Mr.Rust Never Sleeps"; And He had Something New to Say some 20 years later!}-(It's 1992)-The Passage Of Time; The Passing Away (Much Too Soon) of Hank Williams & Jimi Hendrix and The Permutations Of Personal Relationships; Truly A Very "Adult" Record!-(And Neil Young would Re-Visit This Set again on the Later "Dreamin' Man!"-"The Stray Gators" provide a Strong Backing for Neil to take a good "Look Back" & Then be "Movin' On!"-"I Wanna See You Dance Again!"...by Grimmbo.

His best. once we've tired of the razor guitar of 'cinnamon girl'/the sex of 'pocahontas,' this is the keeper. don't bother w/ mtv unplugged

Critical Hit. Rolling Stone gave it 5 stars I think, I love Neil, didn't love this. I Love Harvest, this is just OK.

Classic. Outstanding.

The most heartbreaking and beautiful song. One of the saddest most heartbreaking songs ever written. It makes think of two lovers who know they can't stay together but just want to spend one more night together under the harvest moon. It always makes me think of my great love when I listen to it.

Just Beautiful. Without question one of his ‘most beautiful’ albums. One of these Days, You and Me and Harvest moon are just that. Beautiful songs with emotive lyrics and melodies. Thank you Neil.

Awesome.... Timeless and mellow would best describe this album. My brother Cal and I got hooked on this CD when it first came out and to this day sounds as good it did when it was released. The vocals, guitar, everything!! Even if you're not a fan of Young's music, this album will definitely catch your attention and listening pleasure.

Beautiful mellowness. This is an absolutely beautiful album. I listened endlessly when it first came out and I still can listen over and over.

The air to breathe. Bought this album on CD before there were iTunes. Woke up in the middle of the night finally remembering the song unknown legend. This albums sinks into your bones and the recesses of your mind. Also has the best song about a dog in King. Get the album.

Amazing. Beautiful music

Back to basics. Truly one of Neil's greatest albums. "Harvest Moon" is pure heaven. It's simplistic and touching. The whole album resonates about simpler times. Long live Neil Young!

Harvest moon, title song. While listening to the car radio this week, I heard the familiar strumming , rhythm guitar of "Harvest Moon", from a different song! It was a country-folk segment on a college based station, and the song was..."walk right back", the Everly Brothers live, Reunion Concert, Passport Records. Now, I realize this is more a quest for confirmation, than a review, tho it is simply a lovely little melody that depends on timing, and strikes me as the same player in both. My apology for any violation of form this may have construed...but feel free to play tag with this

A masterpiece.. This album is one of Neil's best. Called a sequel to 1972's "Harvest", this album is arguably a better album. The songwriting shows a more mature, less cynical Neil. The music is more mellow, as if he's at peace with the world. The backing vocals from Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Nicolette Larson, and Neil's sister Astrid provide a more polished, almost heavenly addition to the album. The album starts off with two of Neil's finest works with "Unknown Legend" and "From Hank To Hendrix". "You and Me" draws from "Old Man", while the title track is a beautiful reminder of times past. "Old King" is a tribute to a dog who has passed away. "One of These Days" is a lovely ballad and "Dreamin' Man" is a haunting track. Overall, one of NY's finest works and a must have for fans of Neil Young as well as lovers of music.
