"for the first time" is kid rock's best song to date in my opinion - i can tell you what music is missing these days and if i can write you an album let me know......... as a fan - and/ or i can appreciate music and the struggle between country and rock - this would be an awesome song to be re-released without the voice alterations - should be #1 hit

Good Music!. I love this album. I listen to it all the time. If you’re looking for a rap album this is not it. To me, this is much better. Just good music.

Terrible music. This kid is defiantly not a musician. Pick a genre, are you rock, rap, or country??!? All that I know is that you are not a country artist and will never be a country artist!

Hating on Kid Rock?. I know that this is the only Kid Rock album that does not talk about racism at all and is entirely country, but this is something that I can’t buy. Even my mom and my dad hate this guy.

Not Bad. One of Kid Rocks better albums... I never cared to much for his first few albums but this one is on point... Zach Brown Band playin along too

Purple Sky. Purple Sky is actually a Jason Boland, and The Stragglers song called Telephone Romeo, with a few changed lyrics. Look it up, and have a listen.

Good album. I like the cd and would recommend it if your a fan. To me I liked Rock&Roll Jesus the best but this is still a solid album.

Good enough to buy 3 times!!!!. This is our third time buying this album! We bought his CD twice but both times they got ruined so we bought it on here. This is one of mine, my mom's, and dad's favorite albums ever. Love love love it!

Excellent, Mr. Rock. I'll start by saying I never was a fan of Kid Rock in the past. I love heavy music and like some rap, but his mix didn't do it for me. But this album is simply amazing! It takes the best of Skynyrd and mixes it with a lot of other goodness to be something phenomenal. There are no throwaway songs. Take a long drive and put it on repeat. Amazing and well done! Usually I don't like when artists take a new direction. But I love what Kid Rock's music has become and I hope he keeps progressing.

More Tunes For The Boat. This CD is fantastic. Definitely going on the boat this summer.

Love it!!. I really am not the biggest Kid Rock fan but I absolutely love this album. It isn't particularly complex but just some great straight forward rock and roll. The songs are instantly catchy and fun with a really timeless sound.

Kid Rock's Best Album. Born Free will go down as a classic album and is definitely Kid Rock's best and most polished work to date. Every song is timeless, has meaning and depth and the production, music and vocals are outstanding. Kid Rock has matured and evolved and it shows in this album. Standout tracks are Born Free, Purple Sky, When It Rains, For The First Time. Absolutely brilliant and timeless Southern Rock and Country album.
