Not castanets, but spoons!. Anyone familiar with this type of music knows that they are playing spoons not castanets as was mentioned by someone. I believe the gentleman on the left on the album cover is playing spoons. This is a wonderful album that is like a breath of fresh air compared to what is currently in rotation on the airwaves. And the female singer can really belt out a tune! LOVE it!
