YUCK!. I don't know who the Rest of Us is refering to but count me out. The downward spiral started with Let Love In. What is with all this soppy drival of late? Come on boys the world doesn't need another shoulder to cry on. What the world needs now is a good rockin!

I love it!. I am so glad to see that they are back and making it big once again. Ive always loved them, they have great songs and will continue to make great music. I love John's voice, you can tell this man doesnt sing because he can. He sings because he loves it and it comes from within, with meaning and inspiration. Love you Goo Goo Dolls!!! Your biggest fan till the end, Miss Wendy G!

Gotten me through so much.. I'm mostly reviewing this album on behalf of their song, "Soldier". That song.. just gives me chills every time I listen to it. Like almost all of their other songs, it describes certain situations PERFECTLY. And I'm not kidding when I say that! Their songs will put you to bed at night, help you spend hours screaming into your pillows about stupid things you probably won't remember in 10 years, or just giving yourself a good few minutes to reflect on things. The Goo Goo Dolls have changed my life forever, and I'm very proud to say that I'm a fan. You won't regret buying their music, especially this album.

Goo Goo Dolls - Something For The Rest Of Us. Something For The Rest Of Us might be boldly called Let Love In: 2nd Part The album has almost the same concept of love, but it's still a great album can be better than the predecessor. Already the first song 'The Sweetest Lie "makes clear that the GGD is still rock, but could switch to a soft ballad" As I Am ". Album will gather to grade song "Home" which I consider one of the best on the album. "Notbroken" again is a classic love song, which is one of the best of what GGD recorded. Next, it is appearing on the album mostly great songs like "One Night" top album "Nothing Is Real" and "Hey Ya" and end the song "Soldier". There are also weak songs like "Say You Free" and "Still Your Song," even though this album is at least as good as Let Love In. Goo Goo Dolls did a good job again and it's really hear it.

True Music. The Goo Goo Dolls have never let the world of music down. This album is great. A worthy sucessor to their past albums. These songs will affect you in ways only the Goo Goo Dolls can. Best album I have ever heard and true fans of them wouldn't disagree.

I love this album!. The Goo Goo Dolls are one of my all time favorite bands and they came through again. As usual they always leave me wanting more! Can't wait for the next one...

not their best!. they have started to show their age with this cd. Although SAY YOUR FREE has potential. However it takes Major Marbles to pay tribute to Flesh For Lulu while trying to do POST CARDS FROM PARADISE justice. Not bad but leave the classics to the originals for at least one more decade. All in all their live performance in AUGUSTA GEORGIA will always be their best work ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Songs:. Still Your Song 10/10... Soldier 9/10... Notbroken 8.5/10... Postcards from Paradise 8.5/10... Home 8/10

Good as a whole, no stand-out singles. I wish it had stronger acoustics like their better known songs (Name, Iris, Black Balloon). That being said, it is still one of their best albums, the music is great and not a single song disappoints. There was just no stand-out song that really caught my attention.

Best [album] I Ever Had. This band is really what got me started on rock music, and they're like good wine-it just gets better with age. I can only hope that they make a few more albums because they've been going for 25 years now at least, so it would be a shame to see it slip away-if you like this band look at Vertical Horizon

Thank God this album has come along!. This is a great collection of new songs by The Dolls - just when I hade almost given up hope on the music industries collection of, uh, "talent". If you're a Bieber or Lady Gaga fan, then you probably better keep passing on by. If you like talent that still actually plays instruments and writes their own songs, give a listen. I promise you - you will be glad you did.

...eh. I really, really, really wanted this CD to be amazing ... especially after how much the last one stunk.... but i keep listening to this one hoping that somehow it's going to click and they will sound unique again. The music itself is good, but it all sounds like the exact same track to me... so if you just want to hear pretty music, then go for it. That's all it is, just pretty and soft and gentle music. If you're looking for the good old Goos' who weren't totally mainstream sounding... you're probably going to be disapointed.

LOVE THE ALBUM. this album is sooo good! i was suprised in a good way, keep making great albums!

In Great Form. I have long been a Goo Goo Dolls fan, ever since I heard their hit single "Name," back in 1996. I was worried how much the Dolls might change their sound with this new release, but my worrying was unnecessary. The Dolls are back with a strong mix of memorable riffs and catchy lyrics. My favorite release will always be Dizzy up the Girl, but Something for the Rest of Us is fresh and established music akin to “Let Love In,” but more reminiscent to their older records. Very, very good music.

Good album. Not my favorite album. It could have had more variety and more acoustic songs(like name or black balloon). But still a good album. My favorite song is "still your song"

Something for John, robby, mike, brad, korel and the rest who helped make this album. I purchased this album.. and as I listened to the lyric's for each song..I realized it touched upon so many different feelings.something that technically is for everyone..each song covered a different emotion that perhaps has touched each and every single person listening at some point in our lives.I can also appreciate the extra work they put into this album. the sound. easy to pick up on, even though I'm not in the biz.. but its noticable..To me the hard work paid off..well worth the wait. I suggest you purchase this album. anyone with a heart and feelings will understand what I mean.. when you have a listen. I give this album a 5 star rating:) keeping it real as always Opta_mis_tic.;)

very good. This is definitely one of their best albums. The best song by far is Notbroken. It is a must listen to!

Postcards from Paradise!. What a great cover! Great job. RIP Nick Marsh.

Good, but not Magic. I do love the Goo Goo Dolls, and they will eternally hold a place in my heart for being the band who first really introduced me to music. The band I speak of, though, is not the same one that created this album. The Goo Goo Dolls, earlier, managed to combine the stunning lyrics and melodies of ballads with some of the harder rock, occasionally with a little punk depending how far back you go, and it made for simply beautiful albums where each song had its own merits even if some shone more than others. Now, it's all under a smooth gloss. There's none of that raw emotion, the lyrics which require a third or fourth listen or the songs that instantly transport you to the moment you first heard the song. There's still emotion, but it's been hidden under the polish. The meaning behind the lyrics is still there, but you hardly even need to hear it once to understand it completely. Most of all, many of the songs sound similar to each other. I gave the album three stars because I still love the Goo Goo Dolls, and I always will, but I couldn't give it any higher since I know that they're capable of more. I know they're capable of producing more than just a "good album" or four pop-rock ballads. So, it's not a bad album, but if you like it, look back a few years and discover the magic that these guys produced and are still more than capable of producing.

really true fans??. if everyone of you guys think that this is there best album your wrong, i personally think they could have done better but thats just me i play everyone of their songs from the BEGINNINg this album is in no competition whatsoever with theyre previous work still a good album though!

Fantastico!. This album is awesome. The Goo Goo Dolls have released yet another great album. The sound of this album is a little older Goo Goo Dolls but, it doesn't matter because it is still one of a kind. I would definitely recommend getting this album. So far, my top three songs for this album are Sweetest Lie, Home and One Night. I'm sure that will change as I listen to it more and more but, if you need something to start with, then start with those songs.

Goo Goo for Flesh for Lulu!!. YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Listen up... Goo Goo Dolls cover of Flesh for Lulu's Postcards From Paradise is aces! Buy it now. Rock out immediately! Awesome job Goo Goo Dolls!

Grew On Me. When I first downloaded this album, I was excited. Then I listened to it, and it seems like this wasn't that great. But then.... I kept listening to it, and listening to it, and now, it just might be my favorite Goo Goo Dolls album. It took me a while, but I finally came around. This is an all around consistent album by the Goo Goo Dolls. (As if you would expect anything less). Key Tracks: Home, As I Am (My favorite), Still Your Song, Sweetest Lie, and Something For The Rest of Us. Download it. And if you don't like it at first, keep listening to it. I promise it will grow on you!

Don't care much for their new sound.... If you really liked 'let love in', you might like this album, although I really can't find a song on this album that is stuck in my head. They all sound so much alike and are just...bland. At least on 'let love in', there were a few songs that I liked. My favorite albums are their older ones, like superstar car wash, a boy named goo, dizzy up the girl (it would be hard for them to top that one), and even gutterflower I really enjoyed. If you like the way their last 2 albums have progressed, maybe you should at least listen to the samples of this album because you might like it...or you might agree with me and think that there really aren't any outstanding songs on it. I think they need to get back with their old producer and get that sound back. I love the goo goo dolls and will always be a fan, but I was honestly disappointed with this new album.

YUCK!. Im literally sick after listening to this. This cd sucked so bad me and my sister cut it with scissors!

really..?. I have been a huge goo goo doll's fan since the beginning, and i personally like their old tracks such as 'name' 'iris' and the like, much better. the music doesn't sound like them anymore. still a decent track though.

A little on the slower side.... It's typical GGD music. Good sound, good feel. Might be a little mellower compared to their earlier releases. But when are they going to realize that Robby really can't sing? He sounds horrible, as usual...

Should be #1 album in the charts.... This album is incredible. I have never owned an album where more than half of the songs are really good. Best song imo is Soldier. There are only two songs I didn't care for and they also happened to be the ones JR doesn't sing in. I don't like that other guys voice. He sounds like a heavy smoker. I hope he doesn't become lead singer when someday JR retires.

AWESOME. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, THIS ALBUM!!!!

Goo Goo Dolls show the music world how it. The Goo Goo Dolls have been my favorite band for a long time. At the release of this album, I was a little disappointed because of the high expectations I had for it after hearing a few of their songs at one of their shows. I felt that it wasn't as original as Dizzy and Gutterflower and also not as immediately gripping as Let Love In. I still listened to the album nonstop for a week and realized that they didn't want or mean for Something for the Rest of Us to be like any other album before it. There are few catchy tunes, meaning that this wouldn't appeal to an average radio listener. However, this reason is why this album is so great. Never have The Goo Goo Dolls made music to please the average listener. Instead, they write and perform music for themselves and for the fans that love them for who they are. This may not be the catchiest album or produce any hits on the radio, but I don't think they care. This is by far my favorite album because it shows what the music industry is missing these days: people who don't play music to be popular and make money but play to touch the heart of the dedicated fans out of their true love for making music. The Goo Goo Dolls are truly one of a kind.

Not There Best... The Goo Goo Dolls are my favorite band! This record, however, is not there best.It sounds overproduced and it all sounds the same.I wish they would make a record like Dizzy Up The Girl. That was an amazing album.

enjoyable...but not perfect.. While I don't think this is the best album by any means, I was pleasantly surprised after the Goo Goo Dolls incredibly weak offering on "Let Love In." "Soldier" is by far the stand out song in my opinion. In fact, I was shocked to see it didn't have a higher download rating on itunes. However, "Soldier" and the rest of the album still suffer from the same overproduction as found on "Let Love In." And while the lyrics still border on sappy, this album crosses that line fewer times than Let Love in. I'd personally download "Soldier," "Still your Song," "Something for the Rest of Us," and "Hey Ya"---then call it a day.

cover. i see some people like 'postcards from paradise'. i'm sure most people here don't know it, but that is a cover of flesh for lulu. the song is from the late 80's and is a great song. from the sample clip, it sounds like the goos play it just like flesh for lulu did.

Thanks for Postcards!!. Loved this song for so long, thank you for the Postcards from Paradise remake!!!

To Dry. No of these songs have any kind of rhythem. Nothing catchy. I gues they try to focus on the lyrics. Which is good but u still need the music behind it. I to this day listen to dizzy up the girl and gutterflower. What happen guys?

The BEST band known to man!. The Goo Goo Dolls are one of the greatest bands. Also, they are one of the most underrated bands. This band has amazing lyrics that speak to everyone. This album shows that music CAN stay the same. Also check out their other albums: Dizzy Up the Girl, Let Love In, Gutterflower, A Boy Named Goo and so much more. You will NOT regret buying any of their music!

Gorgeous Album. TOP 3 IN ORDER 1. Notbroken- The best Goo Goo Dolls song alive 2. Still Your Song 3. Hey Ya Whole CD is worth it, but if you are looking to buy just a few, those would be em.

Sounds like another Goo Goo Dolls album. This is not a bad album, it is however nondescript. I could imagine one or two of them ending up on movie soundtracks, but I don't think there's anything amazing about this album.

I go Goo Goo gaga for them. I love the Goo Goo Dolls so much! I din't care how stupid their name is! I just care how good their music is! I fell in live with their music when one of their songs reminded me of an extremely meaningful experirnce.

Great. I think " Nothing Is Real " is the best song on the cd.

Finally Here & Awesomely Fresh!. I have been with the Goo Goo Dolls from the beginning as a fan. I was waiting on something fresh lyrically from the guy's and they have certainly delivered. They have matured and you can tell by the message in each song with each "new" CD. Thoughtful lyrics that each person can relate too, and it is full of faith and hope. Very nice musical arraignments that also shows their maturity. Whatever genre your into the Goo Goo Dolls will still deliver, they are that type of band, and all the more If you have a diversified musical library.

Ok, but I expected a bit better.... Ok, don't get me wrong...,it's a good album, of course, but there are some negatives. Compared to the Goos back in the late 80's and early 90's, this is nothing!!! Robbie only sings two songs, not including "Rough Boys", which is a cover. John still seems to have the need to have slow, quiet, love songs (Tracks 2, 6, 8, 9, and 11.) Altogether though, it's ok.

was very disapointed. ok first i have to say that i love the goo goo dolls. ive been to 2 of the concerts and plan to go to many more. i was very disapointed with this album because to me they changed there sound. most of these songs were full of effects, electric guitars and "boring" vocals. i say "boring" because the songs just didn't feel upbeat like most of there other songs. also i dont enjoy there electric guitar led songs as much as there acoustic guitar led songs. a few songs that are led by electric are good but i enjoy the songs like slide, and here is gone where there are electric guitars but the main part is acoustic. i was just let down by this thats all

Nice Surprise!. The bonus track “Post Cards from Paradise” is a very nice surprise of a song! It has a good groove with almost a hard rock 80’s type feel. Good one to turn the speakers up and rock out on! 🤙🏻🔥🔈

Passable. This album is passable but after listening a few times through I found myself reverting back to their earlier recordings. They sound less like a band and more like some artsy project. GGD went from being a rock band with occasional ballads to a band with mostly ballads with only traces of rock. Boooo!!! Hint: start writing music you like versus what you think people want to hear.

Great album for current times. This album really speaks to people and their current state. It's not escapism, which a lot of music is today, but rather if you really want to reflect on your life and how you feel deep down. It speaks to me on that level and I appreciate it. We're all in this struggle together. Top picks: Notbroken, Something for the Rest of Us.

Always!. Always love your soul felt lyrics! Always a fan!!!

Great Album, but iTunes missed something.... Great album all the way. But, iTunes missed the cover of "Catch Me Now, I'm Falling" I have the album on my computer in WMP, after a friend let me borrow it. I have that track, but iTunes doesn't... What a shame...

Really again. Goo Goo has accomplished greatness again. It is hard to believe that one of my favorite bands from the ninetys is still killing it. If you like good music and lyrical masterpieces this is for you.

Must Buy. This is one of the Goo Goo Dolls' strongest, most ecclectic albums. The wall of sound normally present is gone, stripped down to beautiful layers of clearly defined music. Johnny Rzeznik's voice is crisper than ever, and his songwriting is obviously second to none. The whole album is excellent, but the "must have" songs are As I Am, Notbroken, Nothing Is Real, Something For The Rest Of Us, Hey Ya, and Soldier. If you're some indie rock hipster, look elsewhere for some no-talent fly by night band to fill your head with meaningless droll. If you like great music from bands that have been together working magic for over 24 years, getting better with each album, this is for you. Must have album if you are a fan of alternative rock.
