Imperium by Imperium

Imperium is an instrumental solo project from Calgary, Canada. The lone member of the band, Adarsh Rangayyan, composed and recorded the songs on guitar, bass and drums. Imperium first recorded a 5-song EP in 2007, and then recorded 5 more songs in 2009 to combine for 10 tracks on the independently released self-titled debut CD. The album begins with an acoustic melody before diving into heavy thrash riffs with soaring leads. Guitar melodies are found throughout the album, with many twin guitar leads reminiscent of melodic death metal.
