When George Benson was making these recordings in the 1970s, he was considered a talented jazz guitarist who had crossed over to pop-soul vocals. While there's certainly pure pop and an emphasis on vocals here, there's also something else: smooth jazz. Included are classics of the genre like the instrumental "Breezin'" and the King Pleasure vocalese "Moody's Mood." Benson's hit versions of songs like "On Broadway" and "This Masquerade" are memorable, too, with him singing scat in unison with his guitar. In Benson's hands, Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" becomes a quasi-symphonic instrumental with touches of flamenco, and the vocal duets "Love All the Hurt Away" with Aretha Franklin and "We Got the Love" with Chaka Khan are solid soul ballads. --Adam Rains โ„— 1981 Warner Records Inc. George Benson. I went to see his concert live last night and oh my god what an amazing performance I can't believe this man is 70 years old still looks like he's 50 and still sings like he's 30 and plays the guitar like no one else okay maybe Carlos Santana no not even he is the best just bought this album and it is great brings back great time's

Danceable grooves. Everytime I would hear a song on the radio that showcased a strong opening drum pattern by Jeff Porcaro. Lido Shuffle and LowDown by Boz Scaggs from Silk Degrees. It just is so right in that it makes you want to get down and Boogie all night on the dance floor. He is the best groovemaster of all time and surly missed by many that knew loved and worked with him And gorgeous Dreamyeyed Angel with jetblack hair and sexy smile.I still have many more chapters to write about him in my book. Gathering ideas here and there while looking at my I-pad screen and listening to audio through my headphones. Te amo .
