Excellent As Usual. Great new songs; very well orchestrated and performed as usual. Il Divo is consistent in their talent, blending and delivery. I found She and Hallelujah especially nice.

When in doubt release a Christmas Album. This album, much like the idea behind this group, is muddled and uneven. In their attempt to be dynamically sensitive their voices just expose their weakness. Together, their voices are too contrasting to contribute to a harmonious and homogenous sound. However, I like their variety of songs. Not just another typical lineup of traditional Western Christmas music. And, I think the sound engineering with the orch. is really pretty good. Every time they come out with a new album I want it to be good but in Il Divo's attempt to be a global blend it ends up sounding more like a cacophony of mediocre voices.

Great Album!!!. These guys are awesome!!! I love them, they take you to another place, another era, an impossible dimension where only you and them exist. I'm waiting for more of these great artists! GREAT ALBUM!! Love you Il Divo!!!!

Il Divo - The Promise. Once again their voices soar in perfect harmony and lead us down the path to sheer listening joy. These four young singers have such great voice control and have learned how to combine the nuances of their voices to form a whole that is totally encompassing and glorious. You can keep the original Three Tenors and the Irish Tenors. When you have Il Divo, you don't need anyone else@!!!!

The Promise. This is an incredible album; the music heightens your sense of the beauty of the voice. The interplay between the vocalists allows you to feel the passion and artistry of life. This is an experience that everyone should have.

Where's The Originalty. When is Il Divo going to start writing their own music? I know that there are a couple of writers in that group. I would like to hear some original music from the group and not the continuous remakes. I also found the album very slow moving. Pick up the tempo a little.

Very Soothing. this cd was very smooth and relaxing.I love listening to it while I am cleaning the house. My favorite song is Angelina. It's really beautiful.

Symphonic Singer. Their voices are instruments of pure harmonizing perfection, incredible, magnificent!! Just love these guys.

The solution for constipation.. If you are really constipated, listen to this it will clear you up in no time.

Their best yet, but it could still be better. I've been waiting for The Promise since Siempre came out in 2006. While I feel that it certainly lives up to the title, it certainly could have been a little better. I agree with previous reviews about the guys writing their own songs, and more up-tempo songs should've been included. I really enjoyed La Vida Sin Amor and it was a bit of a let-down that there weren't any like that on this one. The vocals are amazing, the orchestra is awesome, and the guys have brought back their stellar magic. It's a definite must-have for every Il Divo fan's collection.

Beautiful music!. I received this CD in the mail to review and while it's not something I would have EVER picked up on my own, I think it's going to become a well-loved member of my music collection. When it first started, I was a little unsure, but I kept listening and by the time they got to Hallelujah, I was hooked. I love that song and they did a lovely job with it. Such a relaxing sound and such beautiful music....I could listen to this every day. It didn't matter one bit that it was in another language and I'll never be able to sing along, it's just wonderful to listen to.

Ohhhhh Myyyyyy!. These four can lull me to sleep anytime. Just beautiful! Thank you Simon Cowell.

Heartwarming and Worth the Wait. This album was on my long-awaited list. Il Divo provides breathtaking sound and wonderful melodies! Amazing Grace moved me to tears while The Power of Love made me feel at peace. I could not be any happier with this album! It is a must buy!!

Wonderful. Another wonderful, beautiful collection of music by these four geniuses!!! They are just spectacular!!! One thing, though, I would like to hear more songs in English. I know it's difficult with their operatic style, but with those voices any language sounds great!!!!!

mmmmmm. YUMMY I jump on the phone when I see them on tv and call my sister, (she's the one that turned me onto them) and then I call Mom. she runs to the tv to catch the end of Hallelujah. Yes, TURNED ON IS RIGHT!!! I will be purchasing 'ALL' of their albums to give as gifts. LUV 'EM! As a hint and on another note, I am a ballroom dance instructor, and I am always looking for a great piece of music to dance to. That is what I'll be looking for in Il Divo.

Their best yet!!! I LOVE IT!!!!. Only just released and it's the #1 Album in the UK and the Netherlands! Super job, guys!! It's beautiful! I know it will reach heights in the US. The beauty of Il Divo is the use of the romance languages. They are an International phenomenon after all.

About time. I've been waiting for this album since the very moment I heard about it. I love their voices on all their albums. Yes it would be nice if more songs were in English but still...great music. I will definately spend $10 to buy this

Il Divo is the BEST of the BEST! This album proves it!. These men are amazing! This album is their best yet. They keep getting better everytime with every album and every tour. I have been a fan of theirs since their first appearance on Oprah and never tire of hearing them. My favorite songs of this album have to be "La Promesa", "Angelina" and "La Fuerza Mayor". "Adagio" is another good one, reciving staning ovations at every concert. I hope they keep making music until they are very old and can't sing any longer. I love them so much!

It doesn't matter what language they're speaking, or if you can understand them, it just has to so with the emotions of the music. Nice background music. I was unfamiliar with Il Divo before I received this CD, and I have been pleasantly surprised. You probably won't be singing along, especially with the parts that are in Spanish and Italian. Nonetheless, the music is glorious, and the CD is lovely to listen to. The Promise is magnificent. Backed by rich orchestra music, the four men of Il Divo have rich and powerful voices that are a pleasant treat, especially after listening to wining teenagers all day.

what's the big deal?. i heard about them from a performance on GMA and they were like, "oh my gosh you are hot and you are amazing!" and i was lik, "ok..." they are good and i understand that people like them but come on they aren't AMAZING. i have heard better.

What can we say.... It's not often that a song can bring me ( a 37 year male) to tears but "The Power of Love" by FGTH remains one of my all time favourite tracks and Il Divo's live version did simply that. The album is quite frankly brilliant and the video is pure genius. The backdrop of the colluseum in Rome, the orchestra....just PERFECT !! I love IL Divo. I am so glad IL Divo has come with another great album. I particularly love Amazing Grace and Winner Takes All. Definitely worth picking up.

Why mess with perfection?. Il Divo is incredible! "Amazing Grace" gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it. Even more impressive is the fact that we Americans are buying their music, when most of us can't understand it. That says a lot about the power and beauty of their voices, which certainly haven't changed on "The Promise."
