Originality? Nah.. Making a review about the music and not the artist, despite the fact that he was also lacking in the decency department. He stole songs from many different artists, African Americans who couldn't get radio slots. Doesn't matter if he put some "unique twist" on them, which he really didn't do. Stuff ain't better because a white man is singing it, y'all would be calling this average if he wasn't a huge cultural icon from the segregation era. He wasn't much of a musician, didn't write the music or the words. There are tons of pop stars like that now, but at least they aren't stealing it from an under appreciated and under represented minority who developed a very important musical style and got no credit.

Essential collection from THE essential singer. The irony about Elvis's catalogue is that just as he was so badly served by the people who were paid to bring him great songs after the early 60s (and yes you can blame Col. Parker for running off Leiber and Stoller and insisting on publishing rights no matter how great the song) he has been better served than any performer by those who have put together his career catalogue. This is another great example. It's simply terrific.

The only thing wrong with this album is the fact that at the top it says that there are 40 songs, but when you scroll down, there really isn’t, so at a glance, you would think that when you’re purchasing this album, you will be buying 40 songs, but you really are only buying like 1/2 of what it says...

Still in the top 1-2. As far as talent goes his was truely blessed. Just check out what others have said. They speak volumes about Elvis. Whether you like him or not, he was one of the greatest of all time. From younger adults to older people they all respect what he did. Awesome.

Elvis rules all the artists on my Ipod. He seriously is the best singer out of all the artists on my IPOD. I 'am in my early twenty's and love Nickleback, Coldplay, Justin T etc. But Elvis seemed to get every genre of music and nail it, hes still king. Fantastic album, you can get the whole album and know your getting moneys worth.

Long Live Elvis!!!!. Had Elvis lived he would be 74 this year, but his music lives on, Elvis touched our hearts and soul, but his untimely demise is an indication that he too shared our frailties, our longing for love and affection, our appreciation for the ups and downs life has to offer, Elvis perhaps was surrounded by people that tried to shield him from that with medication and advice that in the end couldn't shield him from himself, who know's what he truly felt, but somewhere in his expression of the music he performed lies the man we respect and loved.
