Elvis in Concert. this was the first Elvis album i ever received... i got it for christmas when i was five years old, right after it had been released. i was introduced to Elvis while watching this concert when it was aired on television as a special in 1977, i believe in the fall, after he had died. it has some of my favourite moments on it, in terms of the development of his voice. it seemed that as his life and health unraveled, his vocal strength, range and emotional deliverance increased. pain and loss taught him, and it showed in his talent. while there are 'throwaway' versions of his earlier hits on this album, where you can tell his heart just isn't in the delivery, there are many other tracks where he is very much present and committed to the song he is singing. it is a must for any fan to have in their collection, and in terms of educating new fans, it has a lot of surprising tracks that highlight how far he had grown, vocally.

Amazon.ca. Ordered this yesterday on Amazon.ca...it's much more value for money to have a cd, a case and pictures and notes on Elvis with the songs....I think!

ELVIS IN CONCERT. THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVOURITE ELVIS ALBUMS FOR MANY YEARS, DESPITE HIS ILL HEALTH, ELVIS GAVE SOME STANDOUT PERFORMANCES ON THIS ALBUM, MOST ESPECIALLY ON "MY WAY" & "HOW GREAT THOU ART"

Classic Rock & Country. This was Elvis' last live album , although his health was in decline his voice was magnificent. This a must have for any music fan.

Elvis near the end. His last live album coming just 6 weeks before he died. Not his best, but still had his amazing voice. And he delivered 2 of his finest performances on this album with Hurt and How great thou art.

Elvis. Elvis last concert, still so fantastic. I get sad whenever I hear this or watch the concert, he died far too young.
