A Wonderful Christmas Album. this is my favorite rendition of a christmas carol. kelsey grammer's is perfect as scrooge, and even if you haven't seen the movie, the music is wonderful. you'll agree, alan menken's music is beautiful and anyone will enjoy this. makes a great christmas gift!

Excellent Soundtrack!. I saw this movie when it first came on television and it is fantastic! I'm very glad that iTunes has this soundtrack. Musically, the score matches the lyrics and the emotion with which they are sung. I wasn't very sure about Kelsey Grammer as Scrooge... but this is a role he was born to play! This is a great family musical. If you are an A Christmas Carol fan, this is a soundtrack for you. All in all, I highly recommend it!

Fantastic!!. My favorite songs are A Place Called Home (so sweet, yet sad) and God Bless Us Everyone (sad as well, and beautiful). I also like Link by Link and Nights of Long Ago. The movie is wonderful as well!!!!!! Totally buy this!!

HORRIBLE SIMPLY HORRIBLE. I couldn't even listen to the whole song let alone all of them I'm in this play and I'm in ensemble kids and play many parts our cast especially Scrooge is way better than anyone especially this. I'm sorry but it sucked. Everyone do not buy this please don't. Your wasting your money.

Excellent Musicalization of a Holiday Classic. This is a very well-done version of the classic Christmas story "A Christmas Carol". This is the TV movie soundtrack recording of the Alan Menken/Lynn Ahrens musical that was staged seasonally at Madison Square Garden for over a decade. Even if you already own the original cast recording of the MSG production, this version is worth having. The production values on this CD are top-notch, better than the older version. In addition, the composers have made several adjustments to the score and lyrics since its premiere (and the original soundtrack), with the result of more polished songs. Highlights on this CD are Kelsey Grammer in "Nothing to Do With Me", the melodic "God Bless Us Everyone", and possibly the most beautiful, if not slightly sad song I've ever heard, "A Place Called Home", sung beautifully by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kelsey Grammer. Also, don't miss Jesse L. Martin-- he sounds much different in "Abundance and Charity" than he does in "Rent". The songs range from light, "Christmas-y" carols to darker songs that suit the mood of later parts of the story. Kelsey Grammer has a very nice baritone (when not speak-singing, as his part is supposed to). Overall, buy this soundtrack if you're looking for a creative and likable retelling of "A Christmas Carol". If you only buy one song, buy "A Place Called Home", it's a GREAT song, and I recommend it above anything else on this recording.

Simply Stunning!. A Christmas Classic Made Better! I love the music! Alan Menken (composer for many Disney classics) brought this back to life! AMAZING! This is my favorite version of this story! WELL WORTH YOUR MONEY! This is one of the best Christmas albums you'll ever find!

LOVE OF MY LIFE !!!. As many times as I have seen "A Christmas Carol," I have even read the book. I thought that personally it was getting a little old; then I saw this late at night last christmas eve on telivision, and I instintly fell in love with it from the first number. This was the best version of Charles Dickens' classic novel. It was the best movie I have ever seen, & I will be watcing it again this christmas !!!!!!!!!! You NEED to see this movie !!

Great!. OUTSTANDING PLAY! I saw it in Atlantla,on a feldtrip last Christmas. The best play and songs of the Christmas time. Can't wait to see it again!

Amazing.. I don't know what else to say. Music is what makes the holidays for me, and the songs from this show is some of the best out there. I love it.

Simply horrible, the music, the movie, everything but the shooting location. I am a big fan of Kelsey Grammer and was hoping for another production of one of my favorite bits of fiction. It was a total disappointment. To the music itself, the word cheesy best describes it. To those who know the wonderful version with Albert Finney and his verison of "You" for example, one need only think of that to see how poor this version compares. And again, I would beg ITunes to get Finney's version. It's songs are the best done of all the musical adaptations of "A Christmas Carol."
