Wish I could give it zero!!!. So I adored Anne-Marie’s songs from Speak Your Mind. I still remember them, even if 2002 is overplayed. This though, is garbage!!! Anne-Marie’s vocals sound really annoying in the verses and the echoes in the chorus were really unnecessary. The production literally hurt my ears too, it’s just so painful! Mixing a dropped plate with a woo was bad enough, then there’s an extremely abrupt transition. What really grossed me out were the lyrics; bragging is okay as I’m a rap fan, but if it’s about giving the middle finger to an innocent, refusing to pay for cheap things (like the drinks she mentions), and doing stupid things, I don’t care!!! HOWEVER, THERE IS NO NEED TO BEG FOR MONEY AND ATTENTION IN THE HOOK, YOU IDIOT!!! Today was my birthday, and I’m elated that this didn’t get played, otherwise it’d have been ruined. And Capital overplay this because they’re biased. Crappy birthday to you Anne-Marie, go back to your Speak Your Mind days! 0/10!
