Best 4 AD album in years. This is the best 4AD album in years. The quality is reminiscent of 4AD's glory days of the 80's- 90's (This Mortal Coil, The Cocteau Twins, the Birthday Party, the Throwing Muses, The Pixies, et all)… but towards their quieter end, of course. I like the addition of the “hey” in “Imagining My Man”. It adds an unanticipated edge that places the song outside normal expected sonics. The album perhaps used a bit more surprises like this, but it’s still terrific…more urbane, but on par to her first country folk recording.

Awesome.. I'm going to go ahead and rate this because I love Horizon and I loved Party when she played it live. Can't wait for the rest.

Instant Classic. Original yet timeless, deep folk in the tradition of Sandy Denny, Nick Drake, and Anne Briggs. Best album of the year for me.

Great song. I'm thoroughly impressed with the song "Imagining My Man" but....those "heys" and garbage should never have been added. It cheese-ifies an otherwise impressively emotional song. Boo to the producer.
