amazing. This is just such a great composition. I play the bassoon and I trulely enjoy this piece of work.
Clarity! Crisp! Enthralling! Wonderful!. I remember hearing this from the Fantasia with the dinosaurs. And it's a pleasure to hear it over and over!
Music that started a riot.. Igor Stravinsky shocked folks that were used to Wagner and Bach. Can you imagine listening to this work in the days of such what I would call "musical pacifism"? This work was an onslaught to what was considered "conservative" (atleast in my comparison). It's like going from 5 to 500 miles an hour, you're just not ready for that kind of change. The most provoking piece of music, ever. Rock has it's place but no one has outdone Igor. Combine all the shock on stage of people doing
incomplete tracks. Fantastic composition, but this particular recording, or digitization of an earlier reording is incomplete. When you move from track to track there is music missing. It cuts off and picks up. mid-measure. Terrible.
