Excellent Album. I'm a Springsteen fan who has no problem at all being critical of weak subpar efforts. High Hopes is NOT one of those efforts. Not since Born In the USA has a Springsteen album been in such heavy rotation for me. The River and Rising came close when they were released. I think the covers are well chosen and have been completely nailed. The tunes we've all heard before are given there just due, and this album is better for it. There is a distinct pop sound to these songs. It's true, there's no Jungleland or Thunder Road. Hell, there's not even a Lonesome Day. But - there is a Harry's Place and The Wall and Down In The Hole. Love it.y. We need to appreciate this artist while we've got him.

Solid Effort though not a classic. Like many others, I listen to every new Springsteen album hoping for another "Thunder Road". I like High Hopes more than anything he has done in a long while. Not the classic but definitely a good effort. Someone tell me why all the reviews at the top of iTunes are bad reviews when this has a 4-star rating on average?

high hopes. this album is amazing. i could listen to it for ever. bruce is just a good singer and i could spend all my time jamming to these song. it's great and totally worth listening to.

Great Collaboration. Bruce and Tom should work together more often. Tom's heavy and dynamic guitar sound compliments Bruce's dramatic writing style, so the lyrics and the guitar really play well together. I only give it four stars because a couple of the songs aren't fully developed, but overall, both artists have a flair for the dramatic, both lyrically and musically, without going over the top. Totally fresh and innovative!

The Boss Has Still Got It. Well worth the wait. High Hopes is Springsteen at his rock god best. The cover of 'Just Like Fire Would' is brilliant and the reprise of the 'Ghost of Tom Joad' made me fall in love the song all over again. Turn it up loud enough and it's like having a rock concert in your car.

Boss Fan. Born in 1970, so I have grown up all my life with this music and High Hopes is still as fresh as if it was recorded 40 years ago. The only thing better than this album is the opportunity to hear some of it live next week in Melbourne. Will be hard to beat the previous tour concerts held at hanging rock but I do have "High Hopes".

The Perfect Album 10/10. Just when you thought the best of Bruce Springsteen’s work was behind him, he brings out High Hopes. This is one of those albums that you will be putting on repeat and listening for years to come. This is a classic album and in my opinion as good as it gets.

You gotta get this, its amazing. Fantastic songs with brilliant lyrics and an amazing band/sound. You dont only fall in love with the songs but the music too, its incredible to listen to the guitar work and sax, trumpet etc. Do yourself a favour and get this, you'll love guaranteed!!! There's a reason why he's the Boss. Even after 50 years Bruce is still releasing great material. Cannot wait to hear some of these songs next month in Australia! Hoping that he does "The Wall".
