Love it. Beautiful voice
Beautiful Music and a voice that can sing it.. Susan Boyle is certainly a phenomenal singer. Though she is relatively new to the industry, got there in a flash, and for sure is still a diamond in the rough, her voice is perfect for this genre of music. A shocking surprise on this album is the remake of Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over”. I love the original but Susan’s version is nothing short of angelic. The rest of the song selection provides a subdued, sweet and mystical trip through some of the more common Christmas Songs. It is certainly a journey to enjoy. Bravo Susan!
Eh. Sophomore jinx?. Don't Dream It's Over is the most beautiful and original interpretation on this album. The rest has the pace of a diurge, even the usually mid-tempo Do You Hear What I Hear is slowed to molasses. Ugh. I'd rather listen to something else over the holidays.
Great as lullabies. Susan has a very soothing and pretty voice. This would be a good album for you if you like soft quiet music playing in the background while you cozy up to the fireplace. Unfortunately, this is not what I wanted. I wanted to hear power behind her voice but what I hear is a quiet and sweet voice song after song. There is not a single song that is upbeat and lively. Each track sounds very similar and I have fallen asleep every time I have played this album! Cures my insomnia! LOL
Simply Beautiful. I am not into purchasing christmas music as it is never the same as you heard them growing up, but as big of a fan I am of her talent, this was simply an outstanding album!!!!! I would recommend to anyone to pick up this album. Thank you Susan for bring the world your beautiful voice.
