Japanese Melodies for Flute and Harp. It's hard to believe that a Westerner could create such a true, beautiful Japanese flute sound like this. I had and lost this album on tape years ago so am delighted to have it again.
Ditto. Eve Hawii's review only double...
Japanese Melodies for Flute and Harp. The beautiful interplay between harp and flute on this album is astounding and wonderful to listen too. Both players are virtuosos, yet they share leads perfectly. I have enjoyed listening to this album over and over. The music creates oriental imagery and a peaceful feeling.
Amazing. Purly a amazing collection of melodies.
Timeless. Delicate, as the blossoms of the cherry tree, this music is fragrant and ephimeral. It will live in your memory. Many years ago I first encounted this recording, since then I have given it as a gift to others. All have loved it. The melodies played with these two instuments, who court each other, are timeless. The music remains fresh, like Spring. Rampal at his best. Laskine sparkles. Listen and enjoy the cherry blossom season! It is always filled with life.
