Great new addition. With "Almanac," The Nadas demonstrate their able command of a variety of musical genres. As with their previous album, "Ghosts Inside These Halls," "Almanac" is dominated (to my ear, at least) by a straightforward rock/pop sound. Songs like "Bitter Love" and "Long Goodbye" seem to sit at the center of this trend, with songs like "All I Want Is You" carrying very catchy, pop-friendly hooks and melodies (and understand, this is a compliment!). Longtime Nadas fans won't be disappointed, of course; "Dodged" and "Drink It 'Til It's Gone" continue the folk/country tradition of this very durable and versatile band. I'm no professional critic, by any means, so I may be mixing my genres, but I do think that this record carries forward some of the best of the band's influences and expresses them in fresh and interesting ways. It is a worthy addition to their catalogue and demonstrates once again that The Nadas are a band that deserves far more attention than they get.

Another Great album. The Nadas bring us yet another fabulous album. Everything they do is something you will find yourself listening to over and over again. Their sound is timeless and their songs will resonate with you. If you get a chance, catch them live, they're just as good, if not better. Just a solid band. Enjoy!
