Amazing deal for anyone.. Not only is this album super affordable considering the sheer volume of music you’re getting, but the recordings are very good quality as well. I haven’t yet heard a recording that made me think “why did they include THIS one??”. This album also has really well-known pieces which are representative MANY periods of classical music, from medieval to late romantic, if not later. I can’t recommend this enough. It’s cheaper than most classical albums that are out there, and the quality (and quantity) of this product is something that you just won’t find anywhere else for the same price.
Wonderful, and not just for the price!. I enjoyed this music so much! There are so many songs! Not only do u get so much for only 10! But the quality is through the roof! A musical master piece and a clasical fan must have!
no objections here!. Even if the discerning ear objects to the quality, or lack thereof, within the recordings, it is well worth the purchase. Anyone can start with this collection, and if a favorite emerges, the listener can always look into other artists' interpretations of the work. After all, that is usually how we process what is essential from what isn't. The great thing about this collection is the sheer exposure one gets to such a vast amount of classical music. Of course not everybody will appreciate everything, and that's okay ....but it's the chance to listen to such a vast array of music that really makes this soooooo worth having!!!!
Thanx itunes store!!. this is just amazing, $10 and you get amazing, beautiful music... Thanx if you love classical music you have to have this!!!
How could you not? What a deal!. I don't know if the folks at Naxos are geniuses or just plain dumb for putting out this collection of classical music for 10 bucks providing hours and hours of top notch recordings for pennies a piece. I went searching for one particular work and came up with this offering. Did I need every selection? No, but this is a GREAT collection and range of classical works spanning genres and types of ensembles. Probably could have done without the Rimsky-K and the ENTIRE Messiah, but the Messiah recording features the sublime New College Choir of Oxford and so is definitely worth owing on its own account. Bravo Naxos!!!
