Good set, great price. This is definitely worth the money. These aren't the definitive recordings according to classical snobs, but they are a good introduction to many of the works. There's an error in the track listings, however. References to the "Masquerade Suite" in tracks 231 to 251 should be "Carnaval for Piano."

You get what you pay for.. It's true, there is a wide variety of classical music pieces available to start any classical music collection. Unfortunately, the emphasis of these recordings range from the early music, baroque, and classical - leaving out the romantic, neo-classical, impressionist, and modern 21st century music. I'm not saying this album lacks composer from these time periods, I'm saying these time periods are not emphasized. In addition, the recordings on most of these tracks are decent; however, you'll be able to find better recordings elsewhere. Overall, an okay early music to classical music collection with mediocre recordings. (2-stars)

A-must-have. I hate it when music is sold like peanut butter--you know, "Buy the family size, it's cheaper per ounce"--a piece of music is either worth having or it isn't. But, my God, what a bargain! Buy this collection!

Just get it. An astonishing collection. If you are starting out with creating a classical music library, get it. I see someone else has listed them, so I won't bother. There are standards, with revelations of works that I never knew existed--e.g., the lute works of John Dowland. It includes the complete 1751 version of Handel's Messiah, with the exquisite boy voices used in important parts. Just get it. You can't go wrong. As others have said: THANK YOU, Naxos.

Itunes help please. For some reason it is not downloading to my computer...yet it took my money :(
