Epic. The song "More Not More" stands out as a favorite. On the one hand, a commentary on capitalism / consumerism. On the other, I see it as an equally biting commentary on activism and the ego in it. Guerrilla betrayed is another song in this inquiry.

Great album. There are few artists that changed my perspective: Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scott-Heron, and Bruce Cockburn. I met Bruce. I told him that he was one of the greatest influences in my life. He is. He changed my perspective. What could be more relevant? Thank you, Bruce.

The best there is.... Perhaps Bruce would disagree...perhaps not...this will always be in my top ten albums of all time. You will find no more perceptive lyrics out there, no more sweet tunes. We all get bigger as we go...bales of memory like boats in tow. We should all spend a fall vacation like Bruce. Worship is here, love is here, life is here. Bruce has it all. When you reach that age that you can question what is this?, why is this?, how is this?, then listen to this...you will find some solace, some way. Here is anger freed and love put to music. A masterwork by a great musician and a true poet.

Humans. From top to bottom no weakness as far as song writing and music easily blend to form an amazing follow up to "Dancing in the lion's Jaws". Lion's Jaw's is another Monster!!!

Good, but not my favorite!!. I've listened to this album, and while quite mellow and soothing, I feel "Dragon's Jaw" and "Stealing Fire" are just superior, at least to my ears! There isn't one song on this disc that's as good as "Wondering where the lions are", "No Footprints", not to mention "Making Contact" and "Nicaragua", IMO two of his best songs. I own everything from "In the falling Dark" (1976) thru "Stealing Fire" (1984), except for "Inner City Front", and I love it all. I just feel "Stealing Fire" is his absolute finest moment and the peak of his catalog!! Just one guy's opinion, happy listening to all!!
