Forgotten Gem. I had forgotten just how much I adore early 70's Funk and Soul. And then, there as the theme song for The Duece, is the Curtis Mayfield Masterpiece. This album is great, and he is a great songwriter that cptures the feel of the early 70s. If you can watch the opening creidts for The Duece, you will see one of the greatest music videos ever put together. Move on up was a great single, Down Below captures the ghetto in all its rawness. The only thing that compares to that song is The Message by Grandmaster Flash, and that is a distant second.

Always With Us.... Before this, I was mostly only aware of Curtis Mayfield's work with The Impressions and the Staple Singers, along with the SUPERFLY soundtrrack.
