Love it!. Now this is music !!!A Must hear !!!!๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Beautifully Mystifying and Emotionally Inspiring. This is my favorite work by Sarah. The vocals are incredibly beautiful and the music can send you to a place of pure enchantment. Itโs just as good today as it was 25 years ago, if not more meaningful and wonderful after living more life.
Great. Had never heard her 1st couple albums, good stuff. Solid throughout, such a beautiful voice.
Yes, A true classic.. I remember getting this album shortly after it was released. I find it hard to describe the joy and emotion I felt each time I listened to it. Listening it it now, years later I'm still awed by its depth and intensity. Powerful and heartfelt are two words that come to mind to describe the work. I'd assess it as her second best recording, after Fumbling. As I understand it, Sarah took a while to record the album. She layered many tracks . The layers add depth and lushness. It keeps the music interesting year after year. Her voice is mixed with the music, rather than on top of it. It's easy enough to hear what's she's singing, it's just a departure from her current voice-centric work. I'd highly recommend this album. There's a range of slow, fast, instrumental, sombre, and soaring tracks. They hold together well and compliment each other with the exception of the last track, a dance remix of Vox (Extended Version). Trust and Steaming are exceptional tracks.
Just beautiful album all around. Not sure how one would classify this CD, it's pretty hard to catagorize and that in turn works well in it's favor adding depth and mystery to it. The title track alone will sweep you to a place in your mind you didn't know exsisted. Love the insrumental 'Uphill Battle'as well. 'Vox' was really the only song that got exposure and although a great well produced and organized track that I dearly love, it's probably the lowest point of the album (if it in deed has one). The highlights are the rest of the songs that are very much unknown by much of the world.
