Annie couldn't be better.. I'd have to agree with the voice of the crowd here, in regards to the review: "Don't pay full price???" That's ridiculous. Yes, it is a cover album, but it's also Annie Lennox adding her amazing talent to some great songs. Like many others, "No more 'I love yous'" is my favorite on this disc, but "Take me to the river" is solid and "Whiter Shade of Pale" was the song I chose for the second dance at my wedding. Need I say more.

Al Green?. I never knew Al Green originated "Take Me to the River." I always thought Talking Heads wrote it. One up for the reviewer. I bought this for 'No More'I Love You's' ' which as the reviewer stated is achingly beautiful with Lennox's voice. The other covers aren't objectionable in my opinion.

A Classic. Had this album on tape a long time ago. The tape player is long gone as is the tape, but I really need to listen to this whole thing again and again because despite what iTunes had to say about it, it's an unbelievable classic. I don't care who originated the songs, the way Lennox sings them just can't be beat.

Best Annie Lennox. ExPat living in the UK when this album was released. It is now 2011 and still playing it. The best Annie Lennox music ever released. Never gets old. Her adaption of these classics are better than the originals. Her voice is at its best here, deep and soulful. Whiter Shade of Pale, Waiting In Vain, Thin Line Between Love and Hate doesn't get any better.

Awful. To hear anyone try to redo Whiter Shade of ...is just sad and pointless. It's like the cry of a sad puppy, whimpering in a cold, dirty garage.
