Raw and addictive!. This Business of Art, Tegan and Sara's first official album, is definitely an acquired taste. If you've only listened to their recent albums (The Con & Sainthood for instance), you might find yourself a little taken back by their gravely, deeper voices. However, if you give it a listen, I think you'll find that this album is full of young, raw talent! Some of the tracks have become very addictive for me, such as "The First" and "My Number". If you truly want to get to know Tegan and Sara's music, start from their earliest beginnings! You will not be disappointed!

the best song is omitted. why is this missing "this is everything"? that is by far my favorite tegan and sara song and it is nowhere to be found on itunes!!!!!

Oh, yes.. This is Tegan and Sara's second album, as many other reviews have pointed out. For me, it's interesting to see how their music has progressed. This is where the sound they have now (the Con) started, and several of these songs are actually redone from their first album, Under Feet Like Ours. It's best to listen to Tegan and Sara backwards, because then you can get an understanding of how they got to where they are now, sound-wise and lyric-wise. That's why this album is worth the listen.

If you want to like it, listen in order. Like a lot of people, I've been listening to their albums backwards, starting with "The Con." If you ask me, I think they have just gotten better over the years, so if you listen to them in the order I did, then this album is probably not going to be up to par with "So Jealous" or "The Con." It was alright, but not as catchy as the last two albums. But I still love Tegan and Sara and I can't wait for their new album!

Good, but not as good as newer albums. This album (actualy from 2000) was Tegan & Sara's second album, and you can tell they still have alot of evolving to do. The vocals sound very difernent, and less natural than they do on latter albums, but are still very good. Best Song: The First
